– A total of 26 Penn State football alumni are populating the active rosters of 18 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually are among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. Each week throughout the year, GoPSUsports.com will provide updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats.


Fans can vote their favorite Nittany Lions into the Pro Bowl from now until December 15 at http://www.nfl.com/probowl/ballot.


Adrian Amos recorded a season-high seven tackles and had his first sack of the season against the Broncos. Allen Robinson had five receptions for 113 yards to help the Jaguars top the Titans. Robinson is sixth in the NFL with 871 receiving yards and tied for fifth with seven receiving touchdowns.

Broncos 17, Bears 15

Amos started at safety and recorded seven tackles against the Broncos including his first sack of the season in the second half.


Deion Barnes, (2012-14), DE, New York Jets

Texans 24, Jets 17

Barnes is on the practice squad for the Jets.


Brad Bars, (2011-14), DE, New York Giants

The Giants had a bye in Week 11.

Bars is on the practice squad for the Giants.


NaVorro Bowman, (2007-09), LB, San Francisco 49ers

Seahawks 29, 49ers 13

Bowman recorded nine tackles against the Seahawks. He is tied for second in the NFL with 97 tackles on the season.


Jack Crawford, (2008-11), DT, Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys 24, Dolphins 14

Crawford had a season-high three tackles, including one sack for an 11-yard loss, in the Cowboys win over the Dolphins. Also had a quarterback hurry against Miami.


Garry Gilliam, (2010-12), T, Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks 29, 49ers 13

Gilliam started a right tackle against the 49ers and helped block for Thomas Rawls, who ran for 209 yards and a touchdown.


Robbie Gould, (2001-04), K, Chicago Bears

Broncos 17, Bears 15

Gould made all three field goal attempts (46, 37, 37) against the Broncos.


Tamba Hali, (2002-05), LB, Kansas City Chiefs

Chiefs 33, Chargers 3

Hali tied a season high with five tackles and registered two sacks in the Chiefs’ win over the Chargers.


Jordan Hill, (2009-12), DT, Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks 29, 49ers 13

Hill had two tackles in the Seahawks’ win over the 49ers.


Gerald Hodges, (2009-12), LB, San Francisco 49ers

Seahawks 29, 49ers 13

Hodges played 18 snaps on defense and special teams against the Seahawks.


Mike Hull, (2011-13), LB, Miami Dolphins

Cowboys 24, Dolphins 14

Hull played 75 percent of the special teams’ snaps and played seven defensive plays in his second NFL game.


Jesse James, (2012-13), TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers had a bye in Week 11.


DaQuan Jones, (2010-13), DL, Tennessee Titans

Jaguars 19, Titans 13

Jones started at defensive end and had one tackle against the Jaguars.


Sean Lee, (2005-07, 2009), MLB, Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys 24, Dolphins 14

Lee returned to the field after missing last week’s game with a concussion. He had a team-high four tackles to help the Cowboys to victory over the Dolphins.


Michael Mauti, (2008, 2010-12), LB, New Orleans Saints

The Saints had a bye in Week 11.


Matt McGloin,(2010-12), QB, Oakland Raiders

Lions 18, Raiders 13

McGloin did not play against the Lions.


Jordan Norwood, (2005-08), WR, Denver Broncos

Broncos 17, Bears 15

Norwood was active against the Bears after sitting out the past three weeks due to a hamstring injury. He had one reception for eight yards in his return.


Jared Odrick, (2006-09), DE, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars 19, Titans 13

Odrick started at defensive end and had a season-high four tackles, including two tackles for loss, against the Titans. He also registered a sack and one quarterback hurry.


Paul Posluszny, (2003-06), LB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars 19, Titans 13

Posluszny started at middle linebacker and had seven solo tackles in the Jaguars win over the Titans. Posluszny is tied for 10th in the NFL with 80 tackles.


Andrew Quarless, (2006-09), TE, Green Bay Packers

Packers 30, Vikings 13

Quarless was placed on injured reserved. The next time he is eligible to play is Thanksgiving night against the Bears. Quarless suffered a sprain knee in Week 3 against the Chiefs.

Shipley did not play against the Bengals.


Donovan Smith, (2012-14), OT, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Buccaneers 45, Eagles 17

Smith started at left tackle and blocked for Doug Martin, who ran for 235 yards against the Eagles. Additionally, he protected quarterback Jameis Winston, who threw for 246 yards and five touchdowns.


Nate Stupar, (2008-11), LB, Atlanta Falcons

Colts 24, Falcons 21

Stupar recorded two tackles against the Colts.


Johnnie Troutman, (2009-11), OG, San Diego Chargers

Chiefs 33, Chargers 3

Troutman has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve after breaking his forearm in early August.


John Urschel, (2011-13), OL, Baltimore Ravens

Ravens 16, Rams 13

Urschel started his first game of the season at center in the Ravens’ win over the Rams. Protected quarterback Joe Flacco as he threw for 299 yards.


Cameron Wake, (2000, 02-04) DE, Miami Dolphins

Cowboys 24, Dolphins 14

Wake tore his Achilles against New England and has been placed on season-ending injured reserve. He ended the season with 7.0 sacks and four forced fumbles.


Stefen Wisniewski, (2007-10), C, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars 19, Titans 13

Wisniewski started at center against the Titans. He blocked for Blake Bortles, who threw for 242 yards and one touchdown in the Jaguars’ win.
