Crazy. Way too high in my opinion. It doesn't really matter because if you don't end up 1-4, the rest is meaningless. Let's just stay focused on winning each and every week and things will take care of themselves.

Hysterical, fans discussing rankings has zippity-do-dah-day to do with the team focusing on Iowa. And as the Chairman of the Selection Committee highlighted, PSU has played a better schedule to-date than most of the other 2-loss teams and owns the best win of any of them...IOW, they could have easily ranked PSU higher using their criteria, not lower, genius.

And look how much it's pissing off some of the "fans" on this board. I doubt they're too many teams that have fans on their own board trashing a team that is ranked way higher than anyone thought possible. I've never seen anything like it. And not only that, let's trash our future opponents as well to downplay beating them so it doesn't look like much of an accomplishment. Backhanded compliments are pretty much the norm on this board.

Yes, real fans argue that their teams are ranked too high while at the same time saying the rankings are meaningless. If the ranking is meaningless, then how can we be "too high" on that scale. That's some divide by zero sh#t.

We're clearly not in the upper echelon of college football right now, but it's still great to be on the same web page with those who are. And the utter pain about this emanating from the Pitt folks is quite enjoyable.

Just took a peek over there and after showering myself clean, I lost count on the number of threads on PSU.... Holy smokes, a few posters deserve some credit as they have posted PSU and Franklin deserve a ton of credit. Recruited and worked hard to over come the unjust sanctions. The usual are there with their drivel but it sticks in their crawl to no end we are in the CFP rankings and talk of college football playoffs. Many of the but... but... but... we beat them how come we are not ranked posts... Yeesh I cannot wait until next fall when PSU boat races Pitt and I hope Franklin doesn't take his foot off Nardouche's throat and we hang 60+ on them.

The committee clearly has a lot of respect for the big ten especially the Big Ten 10 east. so it shouldn't come as a big surprise that the 2nd place team in the highly competitive big ten 10 east is ranked in the top 15.

News flash: PSU was the better team, but handed the game to Pitt. That was also months ago. PSU is head and shoulders better than Pitt now.

Who cares that they won the game? It's ancient history. Pitt also beat PSU in 1976, its equally as irrelevant to how the teams are playing now. No one would trade the season we are having for Pitt's season.

PSU is clearly under rated given the media coverage and huge loss to Michigan. Our SOS has to be pretty darn good, plus we played a lot of teams when they were undefeated (meaning they were more motivated and less apt to fold). I think the computers help us out whereas the media has yet to catch up.

I am noticing we are getting better "spots" and better coverage teams than we have the last few years.

Also, the biggest "factor" that is keeping scUM out of the final 4 (and behind daO$U in probability of being a Final 4 team) is the fact that the daO$U game is being played @ The Shoe, which is a huge factor (over their last 25 games daO$U is 15-9-1 against scUM....9-2-1 @ The Shoe and 6-7 @ The b1g $hithouse. Over last 10, daO$U is 9-1 overall and 5-0 @ The Shoe.).
