Good effort. The biggest problem IMO is PSU's half court offense. In the last 7 minutes it was pretty much limited to Stevens going 1 on 1 with mixed results. Like I said earlier it would really help to have Watkins. Also not a great defensive team. Another area where Watkins would help (at least with rebounding and protecting the paint, needs to learn to keep his feet).
Wheeler was a mixed bag. When he's on the floor you lose an offensive threat but he's certainly pesky on defense and chasing loose balls. Dread shot the ball well which is critical after losing Garner & Carr.

Wrong. We’ve been to two NCAA tournaments in the last 8 years (once, we made the Elite Eight).

It doesn't count when the committee is selecting teams. Exhibition is the key word here. If it helps them with confidence that's great but they better starting winning games that count.

A good sign but I still think this team will sink without Watkins. They won the NIT without him but you can't replace both Carr/Watkins and be very likely to get all the way to where we need to be, even if the freshmen are very good.

Myles Dread is going to be a fantastic basketball player for us
i was in Morgantown today for the game and he was confident in his stroke and plenty athletic enough to compete in the big ten as a freshman.
Bolton played ok as well, and will get more confidence and strength in time.
Myreon Jones wasn’t that productive, but didn’t appear to be afraid of unathletic.
Stevens looks to be in mid season form, but I didn’t see much offense from Reaves. Reaves and even more so Wheeler were demons in their on ball defense.
Butrick was a decent outside threat and will be able to play spot duty at the 3 and 4.
I think Watkins is our indefinitely, and I’m worried about getting killed inside without him.

I’m a big supporter of chambers and the work he’s done. That said, one exhibition win is a little early to be counting NCAA bids
