PSU MBB vs. #13 WVU exhibition today at Noon

The question mark for this year were 1) 3's and 2) PG position.
I think they were both, at least tentatively, answered tonight. This is a solid team with 3 All-B10 players on it, and additionally an All-Freshman B10 player, and two true point guards (one that is arguably All-B10 defensive team in Wheeler).
My optimism is not coming simply from the exhibition, but that it offered answer to the questions I had about this team, that I was optimistic of otherwise. We have a middle-of-the-pack B10 team on our hands, which puts you in the tourney.
If that's gonna happen every time you read Gunsie's shit, you might wanna consider upping your medical insurance coverage.
Just in case anyone was unsure whether Custerdome was really 21 Guns, it's easy to spot someone when they only have one response and they think it's witty, so they use it numerous times. Three separate threads (links embedded):
Lots of positives from today, but the front court still has major problems w/o Watkins. Harrar can hold is own on the glass, but won't ever be able to be relied upon for much else. Buttrick is being asked to play way out of position and is way too thin to try to play center.
They can probably get by without Watkins until that VaTech game on Nov 27. Don’t see them having a shot in that game without him.
Without Watkins, and relying on Freshmen, they will blow it against some tomato can of a team prior to November 27th. Lately it seems like Pat is always one piece away from actually contending
Why? They are even more thin than we are in the front court. Buttrick would be the second biggest guy on their team.
I’m more concerned about the second game in Cancun, where a team like SMU can expose the lack of size.
is he getting treatment? i assume he mus still be a student to be on the team. does he practice?
I was thinking more in regards to an overall talent deficit than specific matchups, but your point is well taken.
People are reading WAY too much into the out "indefinitely" statement. Many seem to be interpreting that to mean he'll be out for an extended period of time. If the team announced a set number of games, they'd just open themselves up to additional questions about "why so short?" or "why so long". "Indefinitely" is a smart way to avoid those Qs.
Watkins has a court date on his marijuana possession charge on Nov 16th. I doubt you'll hear anything before then but there should be some announcement shortly afterward. For one thing, they'll likely announce whether he's going to make the Cancun Thanksgiving trip or not. For PR reasons, I can see them leaving him home for that trip. That would make his probable return the Va Tech game on Nov 28th.
FTR - yes, he's a student and yes, he's practicing.
Was 21Guns permanently banned? If so, perhaps the evidence above proving custerdome is 21Guns got this handle banned as well?
