PSU scores first. 1-0 with 5:00 left in 1st period On a goal by Berger, but Minn just tied it up. 1-1 now. Minn scores with 12 minutes left in second period on a nice ping pong pass play to go up 2-1. Yikes, another goal for the Gophers. They take a 3-1 lead with 2 minutes left in the 2Nd.

Also, Finland now up on USA 1-0.

Losing 3-1 now late second period. We are definitely not the same offense without Barratt and Talvitie.

Normally, yes. But Goldy is not very good this year. A road sweep was absolutely possible for us.

Slipped all the way to #12 in pairwise based on this loss. Sweeping Michigan State at home next week is imperative. Losing either game would be a bad loss.

Yep. We had chance to slide up to 7th with a win. Missed opportunity. A couple of seasons ago would have been thrilled with split with Minnesota on the road, now not so.

Hopefully Evan B. comes back angry and hungry after not getting the gold. Would not be surprised if Aarne is out next weekend since appears his leg is really hurting him.
