285: Gingrich vs. Marsden ...
both Gingrich and Lawson were introduced, but Grinagain gets the call. The winner of the match will determine which team wins the dual.
Per 1:
Marsden in on a shot but OOB. 1:58 left. Marsden with another shot, nothing, Marsden almost tripped himself.
1 min left. Scoreless -- 4th match in a row with nothing in 1st period.
Per 2:
Gingrich takes down. on his base, steps over an ankle, trying to backdoor to a reversal, nearly gets it, not sure if it will be an esc or a reversal, and after a long scramble it's a reversal, 2-0. Marsden is up, and gets the esc, 2-1. Marsden has 32 sec of RT. OOB with 20 sec left. End of period.
Per 3:
Marsden starts down. He's working to his feet, but OOB after 8 sec. marsden up to his feet, but OOB. Gingrich with a stall warning. 1:44 left. Marsden to his feet again, and Gingrich let him go, 2-2. RT not a factor (9 sec in Marsden's favor). 1:30 left. Mostly ear-to-ear pushing into each other. OOB with 1 min left. Neither guy seems to want to shoot. End of period. Not 1 shot after Marsden got the esc.
OT:
i hope somebody shoots.
Gingrich in on a leg, but Marsden gets the leg down to the mat, then OOB. Damn. 40 sec left. Gingrich with another shot, blocked, and then Marsden with a half-hearted counter. Gingrich in on a single, Marsden hips down, then Marsden shoots, and Gingrich reaches across for the ankle. At the buzzer, very close to a TD for Marsden -- going to a video review. Either way, each guys get a breather. After review, no TD
TB1:
Marsden is down. Gingricgh takes an ankel, and then Marsden gets an ankle and gets the reversal, 2-4, Gingrich tries the same thing, and then after a scramble a stalling warning on Marsden to stop action. Both coaches want a conference. Video review -- CS must think Gingrich got a reversal (didn't hear that announced). Seems like a long review. Call stands. Gingrich with a roll and then to his feet but runs out of time.
TB 2L
quick esc for Gingrich, 3-4. Gignrich reaches, gets a leg, Marsden gets his hips back, and runs out of time.
18-21, Oklahoma State
