Bumping this back up… anyone hearing anything about Blaze?Any news or updates regarding Marcus Blaze lately and his timeframe for a decision? Bo Bassett has a 30 page thread, I’m just looking for info on Blaze who is just as good imo, TIA
I am hearing that I like him and he remains my #1 "must get", even if we aren't considered the front runners, and after considering the 3 studs that follow in the next class.Bumping this back up… anyone hearing anything about Blaze?
I've heard Blaze is pretty much a lock to go elsewehre but Bo is kiiiiiiiinda still on the table. Albeit its a small table.PCSjr said... You have to admit that was a helluva recruiting trip.I’ll be surprised if Blaze doesn’t come to PSU at this point. It just makes too much sense. He fits perfectly weight wise and being around the PSU coaches and wrestlers at U20’s should just drive home the point that PSU is where he belongs. Hopefully his decision comes soon.
It’s not super likely to me that Kent State would be a target game to host top recruits, schedule permitting. So we saw bo and Jax at Michigan together , who was the top recruit at yesterdays game
The big recruit visiting was posted on the Marcus Blaze thread. It was also a "might be"Well there was one
I wonder if this was because Blaze and Forrest told Cael "no thanks".
Well Forrest is in the process of taking visits so imagine he hasn't done that yet. Blaze I imagine we'll all know when he announces.I wonder if this was because Blaze and Forrest told Cael "no thanks".
Every silver lining must have a cloud.I wonder if this was because Blaze and Forrest told Cael "no thanks".
I thought Tyler was heavier than the other recruits. College 165?Hopefully this was not because Blaze and Forrest told Cael "no thanks".
LOL I don't know where some peopls come up with this stuff!Hopefully this was not because Blaze and Forrest told Cael "no thanks".
That's my PSP coming out.Every silver lining must have a cloud.
He's probably a 141 or 149.I thought Tyler was heavier than the other recruits. College 165?
Dekraker is not from PA. He's now at Chantilly (Virginia) which is his 5th HS in 3 years. St. Mary's, Blair, CR North, FCA, Chantilly.Well Forrest is in the process of taking visits so imagine he hasn't done that yet. Blaze I imagine we'll all know when he announces.
The reason is because Dekraker is an under the radar PA stud (just wait he'll shoot up the rankings the next 2 years) that Cael now has the ability to offer a full scholarship to when he had to before convince him to try to take a small partial.
All I'll say is this, Cael going all in on a kid this early (Class of 2026 for Dekraker) shows he is EXTREMELY high on his potential (Cael is a notorious late contacter at times) We've seen this work out before VERY well because Cael has a solid track record of talent evaluation.
We discussed him here:Tyler "De-Kracken" isn't even on Ducemans spreadsheet. Who the heck is this kid and what's the consensus?
He went to Blair then transferred to Faith Christian Academy, and I see her has only a 1 point loss to Rainey.
We he wouldn't be on a visit if Cael didn't see, well, what he sees.
TF Seidel? Now we are talkin! We discussed him here:
Ultimate Club duals
So glad I made the trip out. PA is so deeeeeeeep and tough. You have to love the kids who constantly put it on the line. They keep getting better. Some cray cray results. I love what Steller is doing. Props to him and his staff. Dekraker TF Seidel. Who is this kid? Unless Seidel cuts his...pennstate.forums.rivals.com

An official doesn't mean "Cael going all in." Racciato's parents stayed at Cael's house on their official, and he got a low-ball offer. In the past yes but every rostered wrestler can get a full scholarship now and I imagine that is something Cael supports and Kraft will fund.An official doesn't mean "Cael going all in." Racciato's parents stayed at Cael's house on their official, and he got a low-ball offer. We'll see.
That said, there is some pre-existing relationship. DeKraker has competed with M2 in the past. And if Cael already knows a guy and thinks he isn't a fit, then Cael isn't wasting an official on him.
We'll see about that in the short term. PSU has far below 30 endowed scholarships for wrestling. Kraft will support fundraising for more, but that's competing with many other Athletics fundraising priorities -- such as the $700M in Beaver Stadium debt, which means new wrestling scholarships will need to be raised and endowed, not budgeted. (As if they would've been budgeted without the football debt.)In the past yes but every rostered wrestler can get a full scholarship now and I imagine that is something Cael supports and Kraft will fund.
They're far below 30 because the limit was 9.9. Get your point from an economic standpoint but from what I hear about Kraft, he will give Cael the absolute maximum. We'll see about that in the short term. In time, agreed. And it might not be very long. They're far below 30 because the limit was 9.9. Get your point from an economic standpoint but from what I hear about Kraft, he will give Cael the absolute maximum.
Kraft will bust his hump getting the program the funding it seeks, but as Jefe pointed out raising those kinds of funds when competing with others for the same dollars it will take time. They're far below 30 because the limit was 9.9. While this may be the 3rd or 4th time I've seen "Blaze is close and we're leading", it's definitely the 1st time I've seen "Cael is in the hot seat." Why is Cael in the hot seat?Sounds like Blaze is close and we are leading.
That news would cool off Cael’s hot seat
He failed to secure all 6 Olympic spots for NLWC in the same year he failed to secure 10 finalists at NCAAs? Who wouldn’t be in hot water after that nonsense. While this may be the 3rd or 4th time I've seen "Blaze is close and we're leading", it's definitely the 1st time I've seen "Cael is in the hot seat."
