PSU tops Lock Haven in opener, 50-0 – My three takeaways

We have been hearing Zain was packed, but holy cow.....he is a beast. Nolf is another one......lots of great news filtering out but his body has completely transformed from high school. He is like a shark......just keeps moving forward. Cutch looked great....bigger, yet leaner....definately quicker. Everyone wrestled with lot of confidence.
Va Tech on the road will be a completely different deal. Tonight was fun for the fans. Sunday should be a heck of a dual meet....a real war. Va Tech was really ready to go last year in State College I am sure there are others who would know better than me, but this is appears to me to be the most complete PSU team we have had in a while.
It will take a while for me to get used to the 4 point back rule. Initially my reaction is........I don't like it. That said, I am not exactly sure why. Maybe having the opportunity to score 4 will get some folks to really try to turn people rather than just ride them.
LHU put some really fit looking guys on the mat this evening......guys with some experience.......and they got flattened.

I saw black shoes predicted a 34-3 score. It was punishment. VT will be a better indicator of where the team is but I'll be shocked if they lose more than 3 matches in winning 24-10, at least.
Wonder where they all learned that ankle trip take down? A lot of the guys were making that a signature move. Interesting night. The Nittany Lion Inn managed to under perform again, with 3 events requiring dinner accommodations,(NCAA soccer, Women's basketball and wrestling) they were lost. We had to order takeout and just made it to REC Hall in time for the match.
