Should be fun. I know Johnson and Gibbons are looking forward to the noise in The Rac, but I have a feeling most of that noise will just be the sound of the official slapping the mat and pins dropping in the stands.

I'm torn. Do I hope the dual begins at 141, so that when what's his name hits the mat, the place might be empty? Or do I hope the match begins at 125 so the place will clear out and make it easier to get home? In the first scenario, Rutgers fans will probably stay to see their boy break the shutout and traffic will be terrible. In the second, there actually is a good chance getting out will be easier.

At this point they can't afford to pick and choose when he goes. He probably needs to go as soon as he can. We're pushing February and he hasn't been on the mat yet. If he wants to qualify for NCAAs he needs matches. If he can go today he should.

There are 4 dual meets left before the B1G. At this point, is there really any reason for Carson to go at all? He won't be eligible for an RPI ranking. He's going to have to make a hell of a run at the B1G to qualify and he's going to need every match to get in match shape.

At this point what are the realistic chances he can qualify for NCAAs? It's probably slim to none.

They're decent. B10 looks in good shape for 10 qualifiers -- which means he can go 1-2, drop into a 4-man mini tourney, and go 1-1 there. His draw thru consolations will matter.
