Purdue's Coach Brohm...

Not like Brohm was making chump change at Purdue. And Purdue just put huge money into a brand new football complex building. I wonder where the money is coming from at Louisville to buy out the $14 million from Petrino and then give Brohm what has to be at least a 5 year deal in the $25 million dollar range plus Brohm has to be getting some serious money commitments from Louisville on program upgrades.
Excellent question considering that a board member said they couldn't afford Petrino's buyout. Guess, someone or multiple someones came up with some dough.

If reports are true, good thing there is no tampering in the NCAA and a contract is not a contract. Right, such things only apply to student athletes.

Brohm is from Louisville, played at Louisville, is the son of a lengendary Louisville high school coach. I do not believe Louisville is a safe landing spot for him. There are other programs that would reach out to him that he could use for that if that was his goal. I don’t think he would do that to Louisville.
I am aware of his connections. If he wants to win a natty, he would be better off trying to do that somewhere else. If he goes to Louisville now, and then jumps to a job where it’s better suited to win a MNC, wouldn’t he be burning the bridge in Louisville?

Brohm almost certainly believes he can win a national championship at Louisville.

Yeah, I think I agree with that. But I don’t think he would use Louisville as a negotiating ploy to get more money from Purdue.

why? if he wants to go back to Louisville to go back to his alma mater and see what he can do and be a hometown here, then fine. but his best chance at a national championship would be to continue what he started at Purdue and if he performs at a high level for another few years, could parlay that into an elite job. he goes to louisville, he has a major rebuild that has to go through and hope it can happen. in modern college football, don't see Louisville being able to win a natty.

I wonder if Rondale Moore transfers to Louisville....he’s a Louisville guy who went to Purdue because of Brohm.
He's a New Albany, IN guy who did go to Purdue because of Brohm. But there's no reason to transfer. We assume he has only one year left anyway.

One year?

Isn’t he a true Freshman this year?

I imagine PU fans might be feeling a little pessimistic wrt the Brohm situation...... but I don’t think R Moore is gonna’ go to court to try to get away from Purdue earlier.
He has one more year in school before he can declare for the draft.

Breaking News...Jeff Brohm will be announced as The University of Louisville Head Football Coach on Monday November 26th according to my sources...

This would explain the Minnesota game this past weekend. One of the biggest head scratchers in the Big Ten this year. His team played like they were totally disinterested and were absolutely destroyed by an exponentially inferior team.

What about Like Fickell...has the midwest/Ohio ties for recruiting, has Cinci looking pretty decent too

Boiler Bulldog do you guys buy into the theory that the totally weird result of the Miny/Boiler game last week was because the team knew/thought the coach was leaving? SOMETHING has to explain that off the wall game!

Purdue is a middling team. Have been all year. Too much stock went into their upset of the Buckeyes. Emotions were high, Buckeyes were on the road at night, played off, Purdue played their best game...

We play terrible in bad weather. We freaking lost to Eastern Michigan at home in the rain.

If we crap the bed tomorrow against Wisky, I will acknowledge something is amiss.
