During the NaTo match with about 20 secs left in the 3rd, NaTo was trying to turn Kuhn on the edge of the mat. Kuhn looked to be in pain and let out a pretty loud cry. JB even mentioned it during his radio broadcast. When the ref called out-of-bounds, Kuhn seemed to linger for an extra second with his head on the mat before jumping up and scampering back to center. Anyone have a sense of what happened there? Any reason to worry? I’m feeling a bit skittish after Nolf’s injury, and finding little comfort in Kuhn’s pre-PSU history. Can anyone offer some reassurance here?

I actually thought it looked like he was limping after the match as he left the mat. I May have been reading too much into it.

He's 0-2pts at NCAAs. Not a factor in the team race anyway.

I saw this on the DVR too, and was worried for the guy. Hope he's good to go for his own sake, and if he gets us a point or two, or goes on an Englishesque run, awesome. If he's hurt again, he'll always have that Blaise Alexander sign to show his grandkids....

The real question is how much is the NLWC paying him to wrestle for PSU? Maybe you should give them a ring, after all a totally well adjusted and normal person calls around to wrestling clubs requesting financial information to make sure PSU isn't paying wrestlers whenever they think PSU isn't doing anything wrong.

You have been trolled into oblivion. People are concerned with his health. Go away. You are typing on another teams board after midnight. Obsess much?

I live in a different time zone than you.

Being concerned with his health is fair, but OP brought up Nolf. Nolf's injury is a real NCAA concern. Kuhn has been at PSU for a week and is projected to score 0 pts at NCAAs. I was merely pointing out fans have no reason to be concerned with his health from a winning standpoint.

Being concerned with his health from an empathy or human standpoint - sure, but that isn't how the original post was worded.

"OP brought up Nolf"... is your justification? That's a stretch even for you. Nowhere did the OP bring up Nolf in the context of NCAA points. He said he was skittish after Nolf's injury... skittish for Nolf's health, for Nolf missing big dual meets or BIGs or NCAAs or ??? You are able to mindread that he meant "I am skittish about our NCAA championship hopes after Nolf's injury" and therefore justify your callous response?

At least now we know how you are able to mindread the buyer values of PSU recruits and know that they are joining PSU not because of the coaching or the competition or to maximize chances to win a championship or the RTC or whatever... you know they are joining for their portion of the slushfund. You are clairvoyant.

Bit of an overreaction innit?

So is calling athletic departments in order to uncover some vast conspiracy that doesn't exist.

Not why I called athletic departments. I called for clarification on how an incredibly vague bylaw is enforced. And it was nearly 8 months ago and took me a whopping hour.

People post on these forums everyday about mundane shit yet you guys fixate on me making a phone call as if I should take offense or be insulted by you guys repeatedly throwing that same line at me.

It's hilarious how defensive and butthurt people are over that.

So, back to my original point. Anyone know if the kid is ok? Would love for him to be able to finish his career on a high note rather than being sidelined by injury again. If he’s susceptible to injury from bottom position like happened with NaTo, I’m worried about what could happen when he gets ridden hard by Spencer Lee this weekend. Talk about running a guantlet for his return to wrestling!

Doesn't take much for the original question in a thread to be forgotten/ignored and instead turns into a dumpster fire about something unrelated

This is where you are off. NO ONE is defensive or butthurt. We are laughing at you.

It's what you are known for. You made a fool of yourself and cannot be forgotten.

Think of it like this..if you had stated 8 mths ago that you ate horsecrap for some reason, you would always be the guy known for eating horsecrap. No one is defensive or butthurt that you ate it..we laugh at it and think what kind of nut would do that.

It's same thing with your compliance calls

For what it's worth, Cael said he was excited to see him wrestle more on the coach's show Monday, or something to that affect. Hope he's 100%, and growing his tank as much as he can....

You are free to call as many athletic departments as you wish, but don’t be surprised if people think that behavior is just a bit obsessive.

If folks commenting on your previous actions causes you so much distress, perhaps that’s a sign that you should take a break from BWI for a little while.

You called because you thought you'd catch PSU cheating because you're delusional. In your warped mind you were going to blow open a conspiracy that took down Cael Sanderson. And here we are, eight months later and we are all still laughing in your face about it.

Uhh nope. The way the bylaw is written, even if PSU was paying their athletes an excessive amount, it could technically be kosher. The bylaw is vaguely written and is the issue. It needs to be overhauled.

This loophole was pointed out several years ago and reported by sports news orgs:

https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...ers-paid-to-work-camps-problem-in-the-making/

But you probably aren't familiar with my actually view on it, b/c you've made your own conclusions instead of reading what I've actually said regarding this.

If this loophole was pointed out several years ago and reported on by sports news orgs, then why did you bother to call athletic departments about it? Because you thought you were smarter than those who have already looked into it. What was left to uncover? You're not as smart as you think you are.

First person to link Dunning Kruger effect in an online discussion forum is usually victim of the effect as well ironically.

U have a weird fixation/obsession. Relax. Why do you care that I spent 1 hr making some calls? How many hours do you waste quoting my posts and responding to me. You've spent more time crying about me calling compliance departments than I spent calling them.

Haha, right? Think about how many years of mileage you or I would get out of this:

The fact that you even have to ask why people laugh at you because you called athletic departments trying uncover a conspiracy to take down Cael Sanderson tells us everything we need to know about you.

You are delusional. And again, you're not nearly as smart as you think you are. Everybody sees through you. It's not just you, though. It's you and the rest of the posters on HR as well.

Guys, chill a bit with Vodka, I had my own dust up with him in the past, but bringing up his phone calls now is a bit of a stretch, it happened sooooo long ago. Bringing it up as a joke is one thing, I’ll admit to laughing when some one painted a picture of him in a cold phone booth with a stack of quarters, but bringing it in this thread is stretching.

Now, his comment about 0-2 points seemed cold, but I get his point. But still, in reference to someones health seemed out of line. But I don’t think he really meant it that way.

So, let’s now take the high road, let the past be past, have a drink of choice, and all get together tomorrow to watch PSU dominate.

Wow, if you had told me 4 months ago I would be defending Vodka..... but he can be an ok guy if you give him a chance. Let’s prove we are the best fan base by our actions.

We Are!!!

+many. If everyone put him on ignore it would also save us a lot of long worthless threads, not to mention I'm guessing it would drive him nuts. :D

I plan too! Going with my whole family, wife, both boys, one of their girlfriends and another good friend of theirs. It is my oldest’s 28th birthday so the timing is perfect. Going a bit early to have some good food and brews before!

Plus we were there last week, so two great duals in a row. I still have not regained my voice fully from last saturday.

The vodka dude isn't into how the kids are doing? It is all about how are the point scorers doing. That whole empathy thing, or human standpoint thing is for those lessor folks.
Any Iowa plans to hold out point scorers on Saturday?

I am an optimist and look for the good in everyone. I have actually had decent interaction with him recently, despite a rough start. We need to let go of the past and act like the best wrestling community!

You are a great representation of "may no act of ours bring shame"! I, on the other hand, am better off ignoring. My mother said, if you can't say something nice....ignore ;)
