Traditionally, Penn State has had a nice pipeline to South Jersey recruiting many talented players over the years, alot of it being that its part of Metro-Philly and by extension Penn State territory. My question is how many Div 1 players come out of South Jersey relative to players coming from North Jersey? Population wise how do both areas compare? Is the quality of play any different? Are the teams in general any better in one region vs the other? It just seems more likely that if a highly rated kid is from S. Jersey Penn State has a much better chance of signing him. I just always wondered why?
