Question for the house.

Put me in the no category. They already get paid full tuition, room and board, and some extra stipend now. (No small amount especially for out of state kids). If you think conferences/ schools like the SEC are bad now- just wait until it’s open season and they can drop a $100,000 autograph etc. It’s a huge can of worms that will explode exponentially.

This^^^. D-1 scholarship athletes have it pretty good. If you don’t think so, ask a single A minor league baseball player or a minor league hockey player.

Well for one 18 year old boys aren't physically ready so that would go back to your farm league question. Pay for play is going to happen and kind of already is for the most part....but the kids may get a bump along the way while they try and figure it out. Too many people sucking on that $$$ teet for anyone including the "student athletes" to want it to dry up.

All depends on whether the NCAA goes quietly or whether Little Donnie Remy wants to rack up billables for his former law firm. If the former, then the NCAA is going to have to come up with a lot more shekels, but the system will remain intact. If the latter, then Kessler will aim to bring the house down. What are his chances of success? Who knows? Thus far judges seem to be disinclined to tamper with an American institution. But Kessler has a card up his sleeve:: the NFLPA.

So, if someone was selling a #26 Penn State jersey, who would get how much?
Barkley doesn’t own the rights to the number 26, but penn State does have their football jerseys protected so the university should get the money there.

Sure and college football can then become NFL Junior. No thanks. Not one snake I'd want to skin.

How many 26 jerseys are sold without Barkley wearing the number?

Zero 26 jerseys are sold at all, because you can no longer sell jersey numbers of specific players. You can sell #1 and the current year (e.g. #17), I believe. And I think I read that you can ask for a waiver if you want to say honor the 1986 NC team (with an 86 jersey) on the 30th anniversary.
