Random TiVo question for the all knowing board.

AWESOME!
Thank you so much!

FwIW I've been using the TiVo Roamio with over-the-air antenna since we told DirecTV to take the proverbial hike two, maybe three years ago .... believe the Roamio has since been replaced by the TiVo Bolt...

TiVo simply awesome... wayyyyyyyyyyy better than the DTV DVR (much if which, i'm told, they stole from TiVO)... IMO having a TiVo/DVR with OTA makes cutting the cord soooooo much easier a transition.... we never watched a ton of content when we had 200 (mostly garbage) channels... now when there's crap on the 25 we get OTA, i always have some Modern Family/Seinfeld/PBS/classic Batman tv and old Jack Lord Hawaii Five-o in the DVR :)

Regular Tivo can work with antenna input.

However, the OTA Tivo (designed for antenna) can NOT handle cable input. It lacks the circuitry for CableCARD.

So if you get the OTA, remember it can not be used for cable later if you change your mind.
