Rankings..

Flo just launched their preseason rankings and we have room for improvement.

Certainly w/ no ranking at 149, and 165--and TB at 157, perhaps, I'd say we have a good chance of improving our point total. Interesting what they did at Heavy. I wonder how Cassiopi feels being 2 slots behind our guy.

Yep I found that HWT to be very interesting. Although cassioppi can't seem to beat Parris and Kerk has not lost to Parris. I'd say between those 3 in a round robin Parris has the largest margin of victory.

November 22nd could definitely be a good indicator if these rankingsbl are good or not.

Does anyone besides me see the incongruity of Ranking Colton Schlutz at #13 in Flo's Pound-for-Pound rankings?

Nice to see four Nittany Lions in the top 8 PFP. Looking forward to seeing more added to the top 20.

Kind of interested to see who else you could see in that top 10 list and who would be removed. Other than Fix its all National champions in the top 10.

Update: after re-reading I see you said top 20. I could see Vito taking a few L's this year at 133 which should drop him out, Quincy is in a loaded 165. Without really looking at matches not many of these guys will meet up prior to march.

No. I'd put him ahead of Glory but +/- 1 spot isnt a big deal.

It's going to be interesting to see what Cael and Casey do at 157.

That's a super volatile weight with no real clear number 1. I could see anyone in the top 10 winning it. Rankings are going to fluctuate all year unless people start ducking each other.

We all know Iowa should be renamed to the mighty ducks

Speaking of ducks, now with the new rule change of kids being allowed more mat time as red shirts it could get interesting with rankings.

I could see Feldman marching out against B1G opponent's to see "where he's at" against the big fish.

Ohio State could have 5 PA kids in their starting lineup when we wrestle them.

I corrected top 10 '1' typo, so my bad.

First I see Kerkvliet moving in. Then one of Howard, Van Ness or Haines.

He may end up behind a one year bigger and more seasoned Davison by year’s end.

What is interesting is how Flo shows class eligibility. Brooks is labeled a Senior and Starocci a Junior while they should be a Junior and Sophmore respectively. It is just interesting to note since Schultz is listed a Sophmore.

Yeah. I'm guessing we see Haines go vs Iowa, tOSU and then a couple of tournaments.

Re: Feldman, well, I'm not as high on him as some people. I think he'll be good but Tan Tom said Orndorff is still beating him in the room. Orndorff is a one-time AA heading into his 7th year in college; he's good but there is wide gulf between him and the top 4 guys. His best loss to Steveson, Kerk, Cass and Parris was 8pts to Kerk (10-2). If they throw Feldman out there against Kerk, Cass or Parris I think it will be ugly.

It will a little odd for a first year freshman to compete in a dual, perhaps take a loss, but then RS and have that loss not "officially" count.

Does anyone know whether the official record keepers of wins-losses have agreed to keep such matches off the record?

Are you saying what i think you are saying?

Throw out Kerk's injury year, where he got the medical ok littlerally the final day, and then entered Bigs with hardly any conditioning. The trajectory is quite clear. In that 3-way medley, Kerk 'has the largest margin of victory' going forward.

I 'think' the matches are on the record. Not exceeding the 5 maximum for RS purposes a separate measure.

I guess the scenario to raise an ultimate question. Let's say Levi wrestles 5 and goes 4-1. Then sits out until next year and runs the table for 4 years. Would he like Cael wash away that RS year loss? Good question. I look forward to Levi giving it a run, but would rather see him pull his shirt this year.

Rankings wise, they are consistent and it's fair. Shayne and Alex haven't earned any quality wins yet in their redshirt year and we're not counting free results. If Levi was our guy at 157, I imagine he'd be Top 15 ish.

There aren't projections remember. None of our new hammers have earned it and Bartlett at 10 for his body of work at 149 is fair. Same with Howard at 11.

If you have coaches in your corner and are donning the team singlet then the outcome should count on your official record.

So your saying if they wrestle a open it would count like levi’s losses in a college open as a HS kid and many other like that, should also count on there college record.

I have to agree with my padawan here. TNT aren't in the same zip code as Zeke when it comes to Duckville.

Who were Wyatt Henson's quality wins? He's ranked 24 at 133 for Oklahoma.

He beat Quinn Kinner at Midlands (who was a 16 I think at NCAAs) Neither Alex or Shayne has a win like that.

Once again, I think both Alex and Shayne will be fantastic but as of today, their NCAA ranking being unranked is appropriate.

EDIT: I'm also somewhat shocked he's at 133, I think he's clearly a 141.

Ok. I now see one against then (wrestlestat rated?) #21 Kinner at Southern Scuffle.
