While commenting on CJF post-game press conference, Ray Lucas made a comment I have never heard from an analyst/correspondent. He was describing the strategy of CJF distracting the media with his comments (I love our team, I love our players, I love . . .) as a means of taking pressure off the players (i.e., media talking about him rather than the team's deficiencies). All this makes sense, but then he slips in a gratuitous unprofessional comment -- "I still don't like him [CJF], but this was a masterful job."

I mention this not because I care what Mr. Lucas thinks -- I am sure many do not like CJF -- but I was shocked a TV personality said so. Not a big deal, but it struck me as odd. Does anyone remember a correspondent airing such a personal view before? Especially on a benign non-issue . . .
