Ray's on board: The NCAA's statement claiming "total victory" in the Paterno lawsuit is delusional

They say that the best revenge is living well. It gives me great pleasure to see Sue's strength, ability to rise above the fray, and offer wisdom while terrible people affiliated with the university trounced on the love of her life and then did nothing to repair the damage done. She is a wonderful human being.

I wonder if Sue's ultimate revenge, in a sense, will be one more significant donation in the family name to Penn State for education. The university would have to accept such a generous offer, thereby publicly acknowledging the Paternos, and once again would have to emblazon the Paterno name on the product of said gift (e.g., a building or an endowment).

The "ultimate revenge" will be when all the people who put this on JVP arrive at the Pearly Gates and see Joe standing behind St Pete with a wry smile on his face. And his "victory" will be that he gets to wave bye-bye to those scumbags.

The Paterno family WASTED 5 YEARS suing the wrong entity (they should have sued either PSU or Louis Freeh).

People who waste 5 years generally don't get to write the history books.

Suing the NCAA was a drastic miscalculation and a huge self-inflicted error on the part of the Paterno family.
Redundant, repetitive, reiterative, dead horse. We heard you the first time.

Funny that you still trust Tim and Gary 100% still today but you think I should have known they were lying when they said they were investigating Jerry back then.

I never said that. In fact, I've always said this comes down to Gary (not Curley) who was the guy in charge of the resources (the police). But I think what he did was really poor judgement, not a criminal case or conspiracy. He is no different than you, who knew yet did nothing.

Most people can see the difference between a 3rd party with contemporaneous knowledge of an incident (they know was reported) and the head of PSU Police who said he was investigating the incident but actually didn't do a damn thing.

many years later I discussed Jerry with an SC borough cop. I asked if it would do any good to file a report. he said they wouldn't do anything with it other than turn it over to the State Police but it was already a just a matter of time that the State Police would get him.

So you would expect a cop to be like wait get the hell out of here JS a pedophile????.... but nope just matter of fact discussion that the State Police were already on to JS and they would eventually get him.
How many children were abused in the "many years later" you waited?
Criticizing others doesn't shield you from those criticisms. If you had contemporaneous knowledge that Jerry Sandusky was a child predator, then you had a duty to act.

Beat me to it. The ones who fry the most are the liars with their "hell" drivel.

All I know is when Sassano called I was honest and completely forthright in answering all of his questions. I never misrepresented any intentions nor ever lied about what I knew and how I came to know about it. Tim and Gary can't say the same thing in fact pleaded guilty .............. so if you want to criticize me that is perfectly fine but it is completely hollow when you give Tim and Gary a free pass at the same time.

Ray's on board......

The NCAA's statement claiming "total victory" in the Paterno lawsuit is delusional and not supported by the evidence on the public record.

link: http://notpsu.blogspot.com/2017/07/ncaa-statement-ignores-evidence-again.html
"
"In response to the NCAA’s statement, Sue Paterno called the NCAA’s assertions “absurd” and noted that it is the NCAA who is insistent on keeping the full facts of the case from becoming a matter of public record. She challenged the NCAA to make discovery available for public inspection.

History and all of the evidence remain firmly behind Sue Paterno."

Thanks again Ray and the many others or the effort over the last six years.

This entire bull$hit FALSE NARRATIVE tyranny, witch-hunt and scapegoat & cover-up routine is the creation of Corrupt Corbutt and the Corrupt GOP MontCo-Hershey Political Junta & Crime Syndicate that he works for......and many troll posters on this board are fond of "defending". Real phucking nice - yea, Jake Corman (another of the corrupt MontCo-Hershey GOP Junta & Crime Syndicate) should take another "Victory Lap"! What a phucking joke - especially the trolls who come on this board and defend these corrupt, hypocritical pieces-of-garbage and human excrement on this board in the guise of doing it out of their "love for PSU"......and the monitors on here promote. Where's the barf bucket???

Are you familiar with the term "straw man argument"?

Are you serious.
t the public actually believes, unfortunately, is more important than what the public record states.
....nobody believes anything theNCAA says or does. A few Sportswriters that won't have a job in 2-3 years...taking one last shot at an effortless article that works? Lol

I know 2 who claimed to have knowledge and spoke with LE. They both were determined to be screwballs.

And if MM knew for ALL these years that JS was a predator, then that means Gantner, Bradley, Anderson, Kenney, Kenny Jackson, Jay and all the other coaches had to know. Yet when they all gave up their hard drives and cell phones mot ONE thing was found. Sorry, I choose to not believe someone who gets off sending pictures of his private parts to co-eds.

6'5". Did nothing. His family is OK with that.

And I'm the lunatic?

Tim met with investigators on a Wednesday and worked out the plea agreement admitting guilt. The following Saturday night Sheeran posted the plea was coming. You still said no way would Tim plead out.

Tim's plea deal was announced the following Monday and you joined the club of people who Tim had lied to. You were so upset you quit BWI for a few weeks. I started to feel bad for you (for about 3 seconds) then I remembered what a complete jackass you had been over the past 5 years while being completely wrong....... what a freaking joke you are. I know you have invested a lot of time being wrong so just go ahead and stick with it.....

Curley plead guilty to a Misdemeanor Charge that has absolutely ZERO to do with any of the topics being discussed you fargging douche-bag! The State LOST on 100% of their double-digit Felony claims relating to FAILURE TO REPORT, including the Conspiracy, Perjury and Obstruction of Justice claims related to the "supposed" cover-up related to the FTR Charge that the State LOST on!

You're claim is particularly absurd because if The State's claims are actually true it means Mike, his Dad and Dr. Dranov are guilty of the Felony Obstruction of Justice of intentionally failing to call police/911 authorities to the scene of the anal-rape of a child WHILE IT WAS IN-PROGRESS!

Crimes which are insanely more serious than the Misdemeanor Tim Curley plead to and the OAG brought no charges against them???

The public record shows the Paternos abandoning their suit just a few hours before the NCAA was about to file a brief that detailed the years of discovery.

The Paternos could have dropped their suit anytime over the past 4 years and but they cave just a few hours before that specific brief is filed and became public record. That is the perception because it is reality.

only the few nut job lunatic Paterno loyalist believe the timing was a coincidence and they just happen to decide on that same day nothing more could be gained by the suit. lol

I guess there is still the 5 year old Schultz vs Baldwin civil action still yet to come.......
You really aren't very bright are you?

This is true. It is in the Bible.

Specifically, the Gospel of Joseph. Chapter 40, Verse 9 .........

"For God so loved the World, he gave his one and only Son Joseph ... whoever dares criticize him in even the slightest, shall face the eternal flames of hell."

Towny, what specifically was in the discovery that the Paternos feared being released? Interesting that they have adamantly maintained for all this time that they advocating transparency and full disclosure. I'm curious what the smoking guns are that they shied away from?

Counter to that side of the story, the rumors of complete exoneration based on what was found in the Freeh materials and from others who have not spoken publicly have lingered for quite a while. That side has fallen silent, at least for the time being, so I get that that harms the credence on that side... again, unless something changes there.

That's fine.

But many folk (not me, FWIW) believe that PSU told Freeh what to write and basically framed Joe Paterno.

If THAT is the type of entity and the type of people you're dealing with, I think you need to go "all guns blazing" in terms of defending yourself.
So, if I am reading you right, you're saying the Paterno's should have sued PSU because PSU DIDN'T tell Freeh what to put in his report. Is that correct?

if they wanted all of that discovery released the easiest way to make that happen would have been to keep the lawsuit going and let the NCAA file the brief. It wouldn't have cost the Paternos any more money to keep the suit alive for another day longer.

Scott being a lawyer would know that 3rd party discover not used in any briefs filings or court proceedings are never made public. They can say they have asked for all discovery to be released knowing full well that it can't and won't be. They stopped the suit when they did so that brief even if sealed at the time couldn't eventually ever be made public record later.

It was all just an expensive charade they put on.

The question was - are you calling Sue a liar ???

He...called...his...daddy

I'm surprised no one has sued him

I would think those who settled with Penn State would have in their settlements agreed to not sue any other entities or Penn State staff (including TSM, Sandusky, C/S/S, MM, etc.).

Sandusky or C/S/S may have a case to sue MM for disparagement, misrepresentation, etc., but those suits are likely non-starters while their guilty verdicts stand.

While on the topic of Ray ...

He is in possession of "proof" the the key emails in this case were forgeries, as shown by 3 "digital forensic" examiners. He needs to publish that proof and the names of those examiners. He also needs to explain why the proof and those names were not turned over to the authorities, the Paternos, and C/S/S.

He is also in possession of "Ray Ericsson's Notebook" He needs to release that, now that the trials are over, without redacting, and also to explain why this was not turned over to the authorities, the Paternos, and C/S/S.

Ray has claimed over and over that these things are significant, yet he's buried them.

Fraud.
