I'm now 100% convinced that the read option does not take advantage of Barclay's talent, especially against teams like Michigan & Indiana that have a good interior defense---
On plays up the middle, Barclay is frozen in his shoes before he gets the ball, 4 interior lineman surround him before he gets started---
On plays that are designed to go outside, he has had very good success, taking advantage of his speed, agility, & power---
