Just a quick note on K Alex Barbir. I tried getting him for an interview last night, but without much luck. Barbir is quieting down now as he has some decisions to make. With our colleagues at ScarletNation.com, we're able to confirm that Barbir's official visit to Rutgers this weekend went well and RU did what it could to shore up his commitment. Time will tell if that happened. Within the next couple days, Barbir is expected to announce whether or not he'll take an OV to Penn State this weekend. He'll probably do it through Twitter.
If PSU is able to get him back on campus, that's a good sign, IMO. Before the RU trip this weekend, Barbir was high on PSU, but he and his parents have a strong relationship with the ST coach at RU and enjoy the campus, so they felt the need to give RU the first shot here.
UPDATE 12:45 p.m.:
I was able to get in touch with Barbir again to clarify a couple things after that tweet.
He says he'll announce one of either two things tonight: (1) That he's staying with Rutgers; or (2) That he'll take one more official visit, and in all likelihood, that visit will then be his college destination.
He won't say if it would be to PSU or Louisville, but I heard last night that Louisville was out of the running. If I hear more, I'll be sure to pass it along
