Most of the receivers recruited in the 2016 and 2017 were not a factor to replace the three experienced players who struggled all year. Coaches had to wait for the true freshmen to learn their roles before inserting them. I refuse to believe that they would have stayed with Polk so long if they had even a mediocre player to replace him. His drops were at the most critical time that killed drives. Last year we had four guys who could take the 50/50 long pass. We had none this year. That was an insurmountable loss. I like the young receivers in the 2018 class.
