I spoke with the Lackawanna coaches again this morning and learned that James Franklin, Terry Smith, Brent Pry and Sean Spencer all visited with Lackawanna JUCO DT Brennon Thirft (Profile) at his home outside of Pittsburgh late last night. Thrift graduated from Gateway High School in 2014. He committed to Temple, but ended up at Lackawanna C.C. I still need to learn more details, but it's clear that Penn State is beginning to show a lot of interest in Thirft.
I've also mentioned Lackawanna LB Kapri Doucet (Profile) before. Penn State reached out to the Lackawanna staff about Doucet again today, so keep both of these players in mind. PSU is quickly increasing its interest in both prospects.
