I see Bama is at the 25 man limit. Is that good news on the Conliffe front since I thought I saw it was down to PSU and Bama for his services?

LOL...good one. BTW...I think Bama has something like 14 EE's this year or some crazy number like that. 25 man limit. That was really good.

Oh, that's right. SEC signs 28 with 3-5 not qualifying. Does any other conference sanction this practice?

not necessarily ! 'Bama and other SEC schools have been known to take over the limit in case of non-qualifiers. Or, as also done in the past, they may revoke an offer from a lower rated kid to get Conliffe. In example, Tom Fletcher is a 2* Athlete from IMG whose claim to fame comes as a long snapper. He is one of Alabama's commits who may be asked to "enroll as an invited walk-on".

They have room for at least a couple more.....since they brought in some JuCo kids that they can "pre-date"

Of course, they could also pull some offers and or give "greyshirt" options to some additional kids if they choose to.

The only limit that really matters in the SEC is 85 on opening day. Kids have been told they are gray shirting the day before summer camp starts.

It's a privilege to play in the SEC, apparently. These kids all know what they are getting involved in, from Day One. If it happens to them next, so be it. Pull up your Big Boy pants, and get on with it.

What happens in the SEC, stays in the SEC.

Once you recruit a player as a scholarship athlete, you can't switch him to an invited walk on. I don't know what the defenitiin of recruit is, but probobly involves a written scholarship offer.

Here is a pretty good article about how Texas A&M was able to have 34 recruits back in 2013. Explains the loopholes fairly well.

They basically gray shirted everyone and early enrolled everyone. Then, of course, I think 4 of them couldn't get in. They are working the system, and of course the NCAA turns a blind eye.

What they did NOT mention, was just how many players from that team were processed, the next summer. Of course they didn't mention that.

The NCAA only wants a piece of the $$$$$$$$$.
They are a JOKE !!!
