Dies of a heart attack at 83 per his agent. It reminds me of the closing scene of Dr. Zhivago. Just the similarities.

If you believe in things happening in threes: Andy Griffith, Ken Stabler and Omar Shariff.

Yogi Berra tried for hours on the phone to get a hold of his wife. Finally, he was successful. "Where have you been? I've been trying to get a hold of you for hours," he said. "I went to see Dr. Zhivago," his wife replied. Yogi's response, "What's the matter with you now?"

John,
Ange died in 2012. It was July 3, but it was NOT 2015.
I had not heard anything and googled old Ange. Yep, 2012.

I just wanted to nip it, nip it, nip it in the bud, that it was not 2015.

When I hear Omar Sharif it reminds me of the movie Hot Shots, Part Deux. When one of the Iraqi soldiers shouts "Omar Sharif" before getting blown up. I highly recommend this poignant, yet inspiring film to anyone who hasn't seen it.

"Poignant, yet inspiring film" - I am not sure that anyone has ever used those words to describe Hot Shots, Part Deux. However, with that said, this is the second time I have seen that movie mentioned today. MSN had a story today about Seinfeld actors who have died. One of them was Lloyd Bridges who of course played Mr. Mandlebaum (sp), "It's go time" but I digress. In the piece about Lloyd's career they mentioned his role as the father of two other well known actors as well as his many screen roles, one of which was Hot Shots, Part Deux. All that means I just may have to stream it this weekend.

I wondered why there wasn't more on the news about Andy!!!! On the other hand someone was mentioning it three years later. Thanks for setting me straight!
