Tim McCarver, two-time World Series champion and TV broadcaster, dead at 81
McCarver won the 2012 Frick Award for broadcasting in baseball after 21 years of playing in MLB.

Memorable as Steve Carlton's caddy and Phils announcer before going "big time." He always seemed happy to be wherever he was, and while being very analytical, stayed lighthearted too.
A dude in my Ad Agency training class grew up next to "Mr. McCarver." Said he was a great neighbor...and even got him tickets for the infamous SF Giants World Series Earthquake game.
