I looked and didn't see this podcast discussed here.

https://therudis.com/rudis-wrestling-podcast-12-penn-state-seemingly-unstoppable-collegiate-recap/

Penn State content beginning at 5:33. Starting around 15:30, there is a discussion of Asken's analysis of teams wrestling above or below seed for the 2009-2015 (inclusive) NCAA tourneys. The results they mentioned were:

PSU + .07
Minnesota - .16
Cornell - .30
Missouri - .65
OKS - .97
Iowa -1.72

Don't know why Ohio State wasn't listed, but the results are certainly interesting in that Penn State was the only program to wrestle above seed for those 7 tournaments. Also some compelling data points for "who can and can't coach" arguments. ;)

Ben is great. Knows wrestling and doesn’t ignore what’s staring him in the face when it comes to evaluating Cael and his “team”.

When it comes to moving wrestling forward, he’s clearly in Cael’s camp. I’d love to have him visit various practice rooms and give his typical unvarnished opinions.
