Rutgers receives NCAA Notice of Allegations; 7 possible violations,

From the link:

"The NCAA has issued a Notice of Allegations to Rutgers University following an 18-month investigation into the athletics program.

Athletics Director Pat Hobbs and University President Robert Barchi, who released a letter to the Rutgers community in response to the allegations, were not available for immediate comment.

The NCAA notice details seven possible violations stemming from allegations that some members of the athletics department -- the Scarlet Knights' football program, in particular -- had not been operating in full compliance with NCAA standards.

According to NCAA procedures, Rutgers will have 90 days to respond, and sources say the university is likely to appeal the notice and will receive a formal hearing on the allegations at some point next year.

The accusations are far-ranging and involve the football program under Kyle Flood's coaching regime. Flood was fired following the 2015 season, months after he was suspended for three games by the university for academic improprieties.

The NCAA charges that Flood provided former cornerback Nadir Barnwell with an impermissible extra benefit by directly contacting a professor seeking special consideration for Barnwell in an academic course relating to the 2014-2015 academic year.

In addition, it's believed that Flood is charged with failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance in the football program, violating the principles of NCAA head coach responsibility legislation."

Colossally bad on and off the field. Nice going, rutgres.

Best tweet to retweet over and over. From Sept 2015. Rutgres beat writer.

Taken in their worst possible light.......the accusations vav Rutgers wouldn't amount to a "Pimple on an Elephant's Ass" relative to the shenanigans at UNC

What does that tell us about the NCAA?

 LOL

Well they are supposed to be the USC of the East.

I guess when USC had their violations, rutgres said "we need to do some of that".

How do you punish a school that has nothing? Make them listen to rutgersal who now has RU's freshman class in Canton already ahead of LOI.
Rutgers is going to be forced to trade "RutgersAl" for "21 Guns".

RutgersAl represented the ONLY "position" in which Rutgers held the advantage over PSU..........now - - - - - they've got NUTHIN'!!!!

Dirty...wow, you realize they live in NJ and they are RU fans. How much more can they really take? That isn't kicking a dog while they are down, it's shooting a dead dog with a bazooka.

Or..........."shooting roadkill"....which, I suppose, is an appropriate analogy since we are discussing an NCAA issue :)

Bad timing at the end of a recruiting cycle. What's the over/under on the number of commits that bolt. Other than Clark, I don't see any PSU would be interested in.

I just read some of the stuff on their site. Hysterical.

"Maybe we should impose a bowl ban for this year" or the best was "We even suck at cheating". That actually made me laugh out loud.

Yea they all HATE Flood now but boy they were ALL on board 2-3 years ago when he refused to say the words
Penn State.
LOL. how'd that work out for them.

It's such a bittersweet symphony. Casting aspersions at others has a way of biting you in the arsehole. Besides which, didn't they already get the death penalty?
