Saquon wins offensive player of the year

Well deserved, I'm happy for him! And the Giants GM will never live this down and the nonsense he spewed on Hard Knocks. What a fool. Can't believe Mara hasn't fired him yet. Throwing all that money at a QB who is no longer with team instead of a few solid O-lineman. Granted you need a solid QB to balance all of this, but what a fiasco.

He seems really happy.

Thanks for bringing that up. I hadn't seen it before. Guessing the two that tried to point out his mistake are the lowest-paid guys in the room. Extend Daniel Jones and nickel and dime Saquon out of town then pay $30 million a year to a mediocre (for the salary) linebacker.

Better he's with a good team instead of wasting his career with a team that didn't appreciate him.

It's such an odd feeling to be okay with a Philly team winning a title...
Just wish it was Allen vs Barkley so either outcome would have been a win

The stat is a little bit deceptive in that NFL defenses are no longer designed with the emphasis on stopping the run hat it had in the past.

It's part of the cyclical evolution of the game.

And then there is the freakish athleticism of Saquan that allows him to take advantage of the pass first hybrid linebacker safety types that today's NFL defenses favor.

lol. Ok. Not everyone is Saquon or Derrick Henry. Don’t really see other RB’s having eye popping numbers.

Ouch. At least the Browns aren't the only franchise that is in the dumps.

Well deserved award to the best running back by far ever to play for a Pennsylvania pro or college team.
Franco Harris has a gold jacket and 4 Super Bowl rings and over 12,000 yards. Saquon is no doubt a much better athlete, but he hasn't surpassed that level of achievement yet.

I agree. An argument can be made that Franco was the best running back to ever play for a Pennsylvania college or pro team. However, the discussion ends there. The GOAT is either Franco or Barkley. Nobody else.

There’s a difference between “best” and “most accomplished”. Saquon is the best.

He’s a good dude. Invited injured kid to today’s superbowl.

So there’s an Offensive Player of the Year and a Defensive Player of the Year, but the MVP is someone who won neither of those awards….yeah, that makes sense.

Saquon's the most talented and had the best season, for sure. The Eagles have the best team talent-wise. If they lose tonight would you still call them the best team? Saquon may be the best from a physical standpoint, but hasn't had the best career yet. If present trends continue he will.

That’s what I’m saying….side by side, Saquon is the best, but he hasn’t had the best career at this point (much of that was not his fault).

Glad he set the records for rushing yards and yards from scrimmage, beating Terrell Davis, but I was kind of disappointed tonight as I wanted to see him break one. Chiefs definitely keyed on him, but maybe was pressing a bit, too. Still, glad he got a ring. But so did Kenny Pickett, darn it.
