…and with our be denigrated with tbe phony “scandal.”

That is more than we see in our own stadium!

Kind of defines Penn State football - allowing the world to push us around has crept into the team’s mentality.

Let’s bring in someone who can shake us out this lethargy!

I made it a point not to watch the game live as I didn't think I could stomache the stress.

In what context was Joe pictured and/or mentioned?
Bear's trivia question involved John Cappelletti, and they showed a photo of Joe with John and the trophy. They mentioned Cappy's Heaisman speech as perhaps the most moving ever. Fowler and Herbie seem to not hesitate mentioning Joe when the context allows. There may have been another mention regarding coaching then vs. now? A Woody vs. Joe back when vs. now, if I recall, or maybe that was during the morning show.

Honoring Joe would bring plenty of backlash from the great uninformed who know of the 2011-2012 "facts" by headlines only. I believe anyone who has listened and thought critically about it and read more than the headlines would not have an issue with it. To me, honor without the "asterisk", but my bet is there would be an * or two that accompanied any public honors.

As I have said many times, we need a private museum downtown to honor the man properly and without the ** overshadowing the purpose.

He was shown going Mano-y-Mano against the Old Warrior (Woody)…showed highlights of Joe going into Columbus and 1978 and destroying a highly ranked Bucks team with 5 interceptions, etc.

Also showed him at Heisman ceremony with Cappy…spoke in glowing terms both times (like he used to be referred).

I don't know that it was phony that he did those things, but the story that others covered for him never made any sense. There did not seem to be any motive whatsoever to cover for him, especially since he was no longer on staff
That is the phony part. Whatever Sandusky did or did not do - he was not part of the PSU staff.
