scUM wins/we go 10-2

What bowl would we get?

I would think Rose Bowl given that we would have beaten daO$U straight up, we would have the same overall record and we would have tied for 1st in B1G East Division with scUM at 8-1 (scUM goes due to head-to-head tie-breaker).....daO$U would finish 3rd in B1G East Division.

I'd be very happy with the Rose Bowl. It's a great bowl game and outside of the playoffs will get the most attention b/c it's the "Granddaddy of Them All".

Probably Anywhere from Cotton/Outback/Holliday

Depends on other games and rankings, I imagine Michigan would be in the CFP. Wisky to Rose, then it depends on PSU/OSU ranking

Wisky wouldn't get Rose bc they would then lose to scUM in the B1G championship. 3 losses. No Rose.

I don't know how the committee views losing in a title game type scenario. Part of me thinks they be somewhat rewarded for making the B1G Championship game. This year you could def see a 3 loss team go to a BCS game, USC is also a possbility.

The Rose Bowl isn't tied into taking either the Big winner, as they'll be in the playoffs anyway, or the loser of the Big Championship Game. Wisky has been there in 2011, 2012, and 2013 and lost all three, and so I think the Rose will opt for a different team. A team with a great record, dynamic offense, and legit heisman hopeful...oh, and a fan base that has a rep. for traveling extremely well.

I would be shocked to see them take Wisky AGAIN. I think they're probably anxious for a different match-up.

I agree with you and I wouldn't be surprised to see them take the Buckeyes (10-2) because surprisingly, OSU has only been there twice in the past 20 years - 1996 and 2009. I recognize the same could be said for PSU (only once in 20 years), but like it or not, OSU has a much greater history of recent success.

If the Bucks are out of the playoffs with a loss to Michigan, and I'm not so sure they would be, I agree that that is a distinct possibility.

We would go to the rose bowl. Wisconsin and osu lost late and have worse record than we do or we beat them head to head. We travel well. So We would go most definitely

Exactly, Rose says it will take highest ranked B1G team in final CFB Playoff Rankings that does not go to 4-Team Invitational Tournament. Wisconsin will not be the highest ranked B1G team not going to 4-Team Invitational if scUM beats daO$U and then beats Wisconsin in b1g CCG.

In that scenario I believe it depends on the B1G Championship.

> If Michigan beats Ohio State and we beat MSU and finish 10-2, IMO here are the possible bowl scenarios:

Scenario 1. Michigan beats Wisconsin in the B1G Championship....
> If this were to happen Michigan finishes 12-1 and obviously goes to the 4-team playoff. Penn State finishes with 2nd best record in B1G at 10-2 and I believe gets the Rose Bowl over Wisconsin. Then the next two bowl slots are between a 10-2 Ohio State and a 10-3 Wisconsin. But in this scenario I believe Penn State would trump Wiscy for the Rose.

Scenario 2. Wiscy beats Michigan in the B1G Championship....
> If this were to happen then I believe Wiscy slips into the 4-team playoff at #4 with a nice 11-2 finish. Michigan would also finish 11-2 and I believe they'd get the Rose Bowl invite. Then the next 2 bowl slots are between 10-2 Penn State and 10-2 Ohio State .... In this scenario it's "all bets off" ... Who knows how this works out.

If you want to see Penn State go to the Rose Bowl, the best scenario would be:
a. Michigan beats Ohio State at 12-noon on Saturday
b. Penn State beats MSU at 3:30 Saturday
c. Michigan beats Wiscy in the B1G Championship Game

Why do you make shit up? Just so you can go all "shizholian" when you made up parameters are not followed?

Now....don't get me wrong, I enjoy your takedowns of the powers-that-be - - - more than most guys - - - - - but it might be a bit more entertaining if you "took them down" based on reality.

The ROSE BOWL SELETION CRITERIA (as they ACTUALLY exist :) ) - in situations where the Rose Bowl is NOT a Semi-Final Site, and the B1G Champ IS in the "Final Four":

"The Rose Bowl Game has sole discretion on a replacement team, and will generally select the highest‐rated available team [from among B1G candidates], but will take into consideration final College Football Playoff rankings, head‐to‐head competition, division champions and most recent Rose Bowl Game appearances."

So, the Rose Bowl most certainly could select Wisconsin (or just about anyone they want) without violating any rule, statement, guidance, or regulation.
I don't think they would (under your scenario)....but they most certainly could.

What bowl would we get?

Still too many variables but a NY6 game would be a given with only location out of the mix being the Sugar Bowl since they're locked into an SEC/Big 12 matchup.

10-2 PSU team would likely get Rose bid if Michigan wins the B1G. If Wisky upsets Michigan, I think Michigan goes to Pasadena and PSU to Orange....of course, that assumes PSU would get a nod for these options over 10-2 OSU that would likely be ranked right around PSU (possibly even still 1 or 2 spots above).

Cotton against undefeated western Michigan.
Boy that's a no win situation...if we win, it's because we should. If we lose, it's because we're overrated (similar to playing Pitt during the season).

Depends on if Wisc/Neb beats them in the Big 10 champ game. If Mich wins, we go to the Rose Bowl. If Wisc wins...they would probably be ranked 4 and go to the playoff. Anyway, as long as we beat Sparty we should have a nice bowl to play in.

With a PSU win and OSU loss, I don't see any logical way they could rank OSU higher than PSU. Therefore, they probably will!

My question is what if Wisc losses to Minn and Iowa beats Neb, who would Psu play in the title game? That is if Psu beats Msu and Osu beats Um. Lot of football to be played yet.

Still would be Wisconsin.

The Big Ten division alignment has helped noone more than Wisky. Year in and year out they have to worry about one decent team at best. Otherwise, off to the Rose Bowl.
