James P Whitters and Amalone are going to quickly become best friends. Pretty easy to forsee that.
A lot of folks can learn from young Mr. Nolf.
Amalone is a stand up guy, so yes a friendship is imminent. I have never had trouble with purist fans of any school, though I probably won't join in the exclusive jubilation required to attach that label to myself. I am a wrestling fan. The great thing that separates Amalone from the typical purist on HR is his class. He doesn't come with wild accusations toward a school he is jealous of, but instead spends his time reveling in the greatness of his chosen coach and wrestlers. I love that! Iowa has a few of those guys as well. Chief is a witty guy with much to share, and I enjoy his posts a great deal. I may or may not offer rebuttal toward any number of his posts, but only if the mood strikes me right. I will defend the greatest college wrestler of all time against unfounded character assassinations no matter the source. Values are not arbitrary . You either come at everything from a position of honesty or you don't. Enjoy the HR.

So any word if Nevills going tonight or will it be a game time decision?
I agree COMPLETELY without reservation.

If so, what time do weigh-in's take place tonight?
The time is set by the NCAA rules, which I've posted below. The bold in the 1st sentence was added by me.
9.1.2 Dual, Triangular, Quadrangular Meets. Contestants shall weigh in one hour or less before the first match begins on a predetermined scale provided by the host school or organization. When junior varsity competition is held before varsity competition, the varsity contestants shall weigh in one hour before the scheduled start of the varsity meets. Teams failing to comply with the weigh-in rules shall forfeit. When a team is wrestling multiple dual meets at home or at different sites on the same day, weigh-ins for all teams involved shall be held one hour before the start of the first scheduled contest. The team(s) at subsequent site(s) shall conduct an honor weigh-in at the same time at its site(s). No team shall weigh in more than once a day. Weigh-in times for multiple team competitions not covered by rule shall be resolved by the host school’s athletics administration. A weight allowance is not permitted for dual meets conducted on consecutive days (See Rule 9.1.3).
Seems to be no question at this point whether he will give it a go or not, the question remains if he will finish the match without re-aggravating his injury. I just hope, win or lose, that he ends the night healthy. This is his first college wrestling match of his career against a very powerful opponent.
Thanks, Mr. Nelson ;-)well he traveled with the team and had a suitcase packed. Normally you don't take someone on a trip that won't wrestle. Not to say 100% he will go but if your looking for a good sign that is definitely one
I've read some real nonsense over the last couple of days insinuating that if NN wrestles it would be out of Cael's insatiable and immoral quest to win. That he would put winning ahead of the well being of one of his wrestlers. I believe this to be utterly uninformed. To me, it always appears that Cael puts the boys health and well being that their parents entrusted to him ahead of any ambitions of winning. 1) If he is medically cleared, 2) If he and his parents are on board, 3) If he is mentally capable, and 4) If the coach deems it safe, then he should go tonight. Basing anything on an unsure outcome of a medical redshirt is simply ludicrous pending an affirmative answer to all four questions above.
That's my take and I'm sticking to it.
The only ones spouting that nonsense is some jeoulous fans of other teams. They nervous. They realize any small chance they had to win this thing gets seriously diminished if NN wrestling at a high level.
Team. Extremely jealous fans of another singular team. I hope to see the big guy wrestle. He has worked so hard to put himself in this position and deserves to put his talents on display. I'm most excited for the 184 match, but 133 is going to be interesting as well.
To Sir James... BRAVO!!!!You do? I can only judge him as I judge you. He wins and isn't much of a contest.
Thank you!No Minotti for Lehigh...Rasheed was just getting taped up by Doc, so I'd assume he's going.
All I know is that he made the trip. Haven't seen the weigh in sheet....Lehigh doesn't generally give it out.
