So, I ask you: Is Michael Dwumfour a great recruit that we snagged or.....

Glov, it was actually Vince my grandpap who would cut Joe Pa's hair. His brother Joe was also a barber with him, but Vince was the one who knew Joe. Fortunately for me, his relationship with him as well as Spider, allowed me to become a manager when I got to State College

Thanks for correcting me Greg. Great info you provided sir.

Nah! You've sucked much longer and harder than me sir. Stop being so modest!

I'm not modest. You're a fool who backtracked the second you got called out for trying to take a shot at a HS kid who just committed hours prior to PSU. At least man up and own your statements as you're weak attempts at humor are just that...weak. Own what you say. Call out those you see being hypocrites. I mean I did it to you and you're still spinning around.

Yes. Their pierogies are the very best I have ever had, and I've had plenty.

My favorite athlete from McKees Rocks was Bucky Pope, the Catawba Claw , who was rookie sensation wide receiver with the LA Rams in 1964.

In 1968, Pitt ( Dave Haffern ?), Notre Dame (Tom Clements) and Penn State (Chuck Burkhart) all had starting QBs from the Rocks

Wasn't Chuck Fusina a McKees Rocks product as well?

I luv you man!

Even with all your faults!!

:D

I never took a shot at a high school kid.

I merely presented an argument representing both sides.

You never made the debate team, did you?

There are posters on this board who seem to not be satisfied until a recruit is driven away by their negative comments. It includes comments about 2* recruits and 4* recruits. Why do the mods allow this thread to continue? They have deleted less innocuous threads than this in the past. Any thread questioning whether a recruit is PSU worthy should be deleted. Let those decisions be made by the coaching staff. I, for one, am glad he committed.

So you like him taking shots at our pot commits which is fine.
No, Glov was merely creating discussion on the commit, and it included the process by which the staff evaluated the kid and came to the decision that he would be a contributor if he came to PSU. The negative comments were your contribution.

I can't wait to see this young man excel at PSU. As CJF would say, athletically, academically, socially, and spiritually.

Franklin beat Narduzzi for another recruit with no mention of it on Pitt's boards so it must be killing them. Had he foolishly verballed to Pitt he'd of been the lead story on their sites for all summer.

Not sure what is more pathetic, those you try and mock or you mocking HS kids choosing PSU. He's pretty much got an offer from every school he camped at and Austin Johnson was a 2 star commit to PSU in the spring. He's a 3 star elsewhere and he will get bumped by Rivals in time. I think you need some type of reassurance for some reason.

He did have offers from PSU, Iowa, Pitt, BC, and WVa which are not bad offers. He ran a very fast shuttle time the other day and a decent 40 for a kid his size. He's at 280+ going into his senior year so size won't be an issue. I don't get the constant need for reassurance some require. I can name a ton of decent kids in this region that were overlooked by Rivals and ended up with great careers. Hell PSU has had several. Hill, Baker, Ogbu, and Johnson are a few that come to mind just off the top of my head and that is just at PSU.
Outstanding !

Lajolla, I took NO shots at him sir.

I merely pointed out both sides of a potential argument and asked people to weigh in on it.

Heck, look what Rivals has put out sir: What are the Nittany Lions getting out of Rivals.com two-star defensive lineman Michael Dwumfour?

It's on the darn front page of BWI for Pete's sake buddy!

You simply thought {incorrectly} that I took sides and that I was not happy with the pick up. Nothing could be further from the truth.

You made a mistake. I'm a forgiving person. Simply admit you were wrong initially and I'll say: "No problem".

It cannot be "Ok" on one hand for Rivals to do a feature article on the same position but, on the other, have a poster (ME) do they same thing and have you find fault and attack me.

I still luv ya buddy!

Yes!

You get it Cappy!

Winner winner chicken dinner!!

Your the man!

Don't let Knocker know; he get's soooooooo jealous!

;)

It's actually quite clear. A 2* at Pitt is garbage.

A 2* everywhere else with those numbers is a diamond in the rough.

You're welcome.

2* in June before evaluations are completed <> 2* in February recruited as plan D
