Harbaugh was at the Nordin household last night, slept over, and now is driving in to Ann Arbor with Nordin this morning.
I thought a head coach was only allowed one off-campus contact day with a recruit? What's the loophole here?

This couldn't be creepierIt looks like he's kidnapping the kid.
well there's that, and I also thought that the NCAA FB convention (this past week) was a dead period as well. Maybe that's changed.

The convention did take place this week, and was also part of a dead period which ran from 12/14 thru 1/13.
A contact period started on 1/14, and runs thru 1/30.
a head coach is allowed 1 off-campus contact with a recruit. Within a calendar day (12:01 am to midnight), all contacts between a recruit and the head coach count as 1 contact.
After all this, Nordin better actually be able to kick.
He's the guy I care least about losing. There's just too much nonsense going on. It is not going to end on signing day, either. This kid is going to be a pain in someone's ass moving forward.
No double entendre intended.
So isn't this 2 contacts, according to that definition?
Only if he went to his house before midnight. Or maybe all the sleepover talk was just that, talk, and he actually went to his house first thing this morning. So isn't this 2 contacts, according to that definition?
Tyler Davis is a frosh, and was 8/8 on field goals, and 11 for 11 on extra points. I'd love to have someone who was better on kick offs, but by far the most need is to have a great punter. That's where Gillikin comes in. Nordin would be great to have, but need a much better punter.

Yeah, never mind.
For Nordin to become one of his players, Harbaugh plans to show the love personally: By appearing at Nordin's house when the clock turns to Friday, a day after the contact recruiting period begins, "to spend the night at my house," Nordin said.
Yes, a sleepover.
"He'll be there at 12:01 to spend the entire day with me," Nordin said. "I'm the first person he's slept at the house for."
You are allowed contact one day per week in person. Week runs Sunday thru Saturday.

As a UM fan I find it strange. Shows up at 12:01, crashes at their house (didn't a psu coach do this in the past) then drives him to AA. It's a bit gimmicky. But, honestly... disturbing, embarrassing, disgraceful... I know 'everything UM' sets your head on fire (which is freaking hysterical) but even this is over the top for you. Somehow this is a reflection of the University as a whole? This story is so disturbing (and embarrassing to scUM) in so many ways, not the least of which is the disgraceful pandering. I would think any coach across the country with even a shred of decency and pride has to be looking at Harbaugh / scUM and just shaking their head while repeatedly whispering "Disgusting, just simply disgusting.....". Harbaugh is a complete embarrassment to his institution and if his employer is not disturbed and embarrassed by this disgraceful and disturbing display, that pretty much tells you everthing you need to know about scUM as an institution.
Is there really no rule about spending the night at a recruits house? That just sounds beyond creepy to me.
Not just his house, in his room (at least that is what he propositioned). As a UM fan I find it strange. I thought Harbaugh was just trolling the college football world about sleeping his way to a top-rated recruiting class? What happened to that?you mean the fact you all care so much about what michigan is doing?

Isn't the kid committed to us? I think it's more about him than your savior.you mean the fact you all care so much about what michigan is doing?
I heard Nordin will be the first high school kid ever to miss a day of school for an official visit weekend. NCAA needs to investigate.Ummm, don't forget he pulled him out of school with this cheap absurd stunt. Shows up at a recruits home at 12:00:01 am on a school/work night when the family may well have more than just one child (and one or both parents need to go to work the next day)? Then "sleeps over" and in the morning tells the kid to skip school so they can drive to AA so he can start his "recruiting weekend" early? All of this was Harbaugh's (scUM's representative and employee) idea and proposition? And you don't find any of it embarrassing or disturbing.....or a reflection upon scUM despite Harbaugh being scUM's direct representative and it was all his idea??? Just the lack of "perspective" and "priorities" displayed by this over-the-top stunt is disturbing not to mention that he told the recruit he wants to sleep next to him in his bedroom on the floor if necessary??? And you don't find any of it embarrassing or disturbing? Gee why am I not surprised?
Hmmm, like we have no experience with that kind of wholesale condemnation. Get used to it. We had to.As a UM fan I find it strange.
