I'm trying to follow on Track Wrestling. They have the current score at PSU 47.5, OSU 42.5.

I just realized that if you click on the school under the team scores, it lists all the matches and all the points each wrestler has scored toward the team score. It lists Joseph Smith as having scored 6.00 for OSU, I thought he was wrestling unattached. If so, does that mean OSU really only has 36.5 (actually 37.5 since they have another wrestler at that weight who scored a point? Or does that mean he is no longer redshirting?

They way I read it- it means that Joe Smith's points are not being counted- he has scored 6, the other 157 OSU wrestler, Hestin Lamons, has scored 1. If Smith's points were counted- and they aren't since he's wrestling unattached- OSU would have an additional 5 points - and be tied with PSU.

I believe this is accurate. I think the team scores listed on Track Wrestling include the highest scoring team member at each weight. As noted above, Jo Jo Smith's scores for Okie State would not be included, since he is wrestling unattached. Similarly, the PSU team score would include Jason Nolf's points OR the points of of teammate Zack Beitz (whoever has more) at 157, but not both.

This is all correct. 6 points is how much the individual scored, but if you click on the point total link instead of the team link you'll see the scorer of record at each weight.
