have any of you been following the progress of some of the PSU rookies in nfl camps? I saw Pitt play today, and did not see James playing TE. saw that he had dropped some passes/missed blocks in earlier game.

missed Bears game yesterday, but heard that Amos was going to start at FS. have not heard much about the other guys who are in camps - Barnes, CJO, Hull, Smith, Diff., Belton.

I have wondered if Barnes and James made good decisions to not take another year. Barnes could have earned his MBA, and prepared for a career outside of FB. James may have gotten bad advice.

For some of the guys who were on teams, not heard much about a few of them. Watching Titans game, and it showed DaQuan Jones as a starter, but have to say I didn't see him in the game at all.

James will be PS or Cut.
Dieffenbach is in Steelers camp, but won't make it.
Mauti is the one I'm worried about.

I caught a Viking game late, and Mauti was in the game. he must not be high on the Viking staff's list. he also did not look like his former self. was a little hesitant.

how are Hull and Smith doing?

anyone see a link to find out what camps these guys are in?

Actually, James did play as did Dief. Dief looked really good, especially on one pulling play. His guy never got to the QB. James was only targeted on one pass and was double covered. So, not much to grade him on. In my opinion James is fine and will make the team. As for Dief it all depends on the guys in front of him. He may get released or make the practice squad. But, I do think he can play if he can stay healthy. Mauti is kind of in a similar spot and may make the team.

One thing that bugs me about JJ is his lack of snaps as TE. You think they give him some time in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

I would be shocked if Dieff makes it. He hasn't played much.

Pouncey's ankle injury may just create some space on the Steelers' OL. Miles may have a bit better opportunity, but his chances of sticking on the opening day roster only goes from none to slim.

In past years, the Steelers valued multi-taskers on the OL - guys who could play multiple positions.

I've heard from a friend in the Miami area who follows the Dolphins that Hull is doing very well. He was practicing with first team last week or the week before.

I know that James hasn't come through in games yet but I heard that he was doing well in practice.
I doubt they cut him.
After the Pouncey injury (and why aren't more people talking about that? Its all jordy nelson all the time.) Diff might have a shot.
Agree about Mauti, but I saw a little bit the minny game the other night and he did ok.
I saw Hull and Miami play the other day on an nfl network replay and he did pretty well.
