Iowa Kirk Ferentz said how important it is for players to "stay focused" and I would say that one thing we see from KF these days is his own focus at the helm.

The fundraising aspect of his job hurt him in the past. Some coaching hires did as well.

Iowa is playing very well on 3rd Down, as The Athletic's writer Scott Doctherman asked.

OC Brian Ferentz is down on the field this year, compared to last year.

Iowa's key leader is senior DE #40 Parker Hesse, very much like former MLB Josey Jewell. Ferentz talked about his play in 2015 B1G title game today at his press comference.

A close game favors the home team. Of course, we have seen close wins by Iowa in 2000, 2002 and 2004 in Kirk Ferentz's first three trips.

Of course, I know Iowa gave one of the first high scoring affairs when Hayden Fry made his first visit as a HC at Iowa during the Joe Pa era in 1982. It was also the second year for OL coach Kirk Ferentz.

Second year OC Brian Ferentz will make his first visit to Happy Valley in that new role. His experience on New England's staff is starting to pay off with Stanley and Iowa's air attack at times this season.

Oh, will we see the QB sneak from KF 2000 play this week?

It went for 16 yards vs. Maryland.

Of course, Penn State is going for 5 straight, which was last accomplished in 1971 to 1975 by Nittany Lions. Iowa broke streak in Happy Valley in 1976.
