Just keeps getting worse and worse every week. The replay Joker/Choker in NYC needs to be replaced NOW.

And Pitt picks off Baker Mayfield with a minute to go, wins it 20-13. Justice prevails.

Yes, because obviously the NFL would want the Browns to beat the Steelers....right.

Is there a link to e Dupree roughing call. I googled it but it’s only text. I was listening to The game as I was doing some work, and didn’t see the play

That was one of the two calls I was referencing, the other was the punt play at the goal line.

Can anybody explain to me what the NFL office says to justify not calling the punt play at the goal line a touchback. It was a nice attempt by the Browns special team player (Stephen Carlson) to keep the ball out of the end zone, but the replay clearly showed the football hit his knee when his body was in the end zone. There were 2 different Browns fans sitting next to me who said the initial call would be overruled by the replay and a touchback called. I was shocked when the referee announced that the Steelers challenged was denied.

they said it was dead when he picked it up. He then dropped it and fell into the end zone and it touched his knee. But the ruling was on that little pick up that the ball was dead.

That is a terrible call as the ball was still loose. If a Steelers player was in the vicinity, they would have been able to pick up the ball and run with it. My understanding is that the play isn’t over until the ball is under control and there is no way Carlson had the ball under control.

Yep, it’s VERY clear that the Cleveland player never had possession. This, along with the totally bogus roughing the passer call, prompted this thread.

The announcing crew was pretty much stunned at both calls too.
