Steelers Ravens game thread

Steelers secondary is a joke. Free releases no physical play, nothing. Also zero pass rush. It's only 7-0 and that's the only miracle right now because Pittsburgh looks like a semi pro team.

TJ Watt has done nothing.

Highsmith just got shoved down the field by a 180 pound wide receiver. 😂

They have quit. That's coaching.
This game is like a September PSU game.; that’s how uncompetitive it is. The Steelers really have no business in the playoffs right now because they’ve devolved into a pretty bad and feckless team. How do you not go for it on that last fourth down? Lately, my favorite thing about a Steelers game are the post game call in shows.

300+ yards for the Ravens, 60 for the Steelers. They should charge admission for the post game call in show. This is utterly embarrassing. But Tomlin will be back!

They are the poster child of a stale, tired organization. Based on what has happened for the better part of the last decade, including this current embarrassment, there is no way that the current head coach still should be the head coach; he’s been the head coach since 2007 and that’s been more than long enough. No Super Bowl since 2010, no playoff win since 2016, no division title since 2020, a litany of unlikeable malcontents, etc.

Committee should have put the Bengals in
It’s a shame that they came out unprepared to start the season as usual, because it would’ve been fun watching Burrow and that offense instead of this Steelers’ garbage, and I say that as a Steelers’ season ticket holder.

Announcers calling out Steelers for having no heart, no fire. In a Ravens game no less.

Past time for Tomlin to go. I know it will never happen but it is past time.
He should have been gone 5 years ago
I hope they move TJ Watt so he can have a chance to win a playoff game in his career
Tomlin's the most overrated coach in NFL history

The worst part is that the Steelers are just showing no effort. It’s one thing to play hard and just lose to a better team but they aren’t even trying. The tackling is pathetic. They’re just going through the motions.

Herbie: “The Steelers are lethargic.” No truer words were ever spoken.

Fitzpatrick should be benched. Just walking with receivers letting them drive for first downs. 2nd and 21 and Fitzpatrick didn’t make any effort to tackle.

Well, they were about five guys that didn’t even attempt to bring down Henry on that touchdown run. Team just wants to go home.

That was as bad as anything I could have imagined. Tomlin needs to go and now we find out how many people in the Pittsburgh media have any kind of balls to come out and say it.

I'm predicting MAYBE one or two and that's it. Probably Madden but since he's a whack job he doesn't really count.

I am a Steelers fan and I am officially rooting for Lamar Jackson to win the super bowl for the sole reason that it will piss off Loado.
As a Ravens fan who has an autographed ticket from Big Ben’s first game proudly framed in my game room I can likewise say that Lamar is currently the best quarterback in the league and will be a lock to enter Canton in his first year of eligibility.

But we need that ring to silence Loado. Eyes on the prize here 😂

When Tomlin came in I thought he was going to switch to the 4-3. Ok, fine. He ended up keeping the 3-4, but seemed to drop the mammoth nose guards needed to plug up the middle. Yet again the Steelers got ran on. Sigh.

The biggest problem defense wise is Hayward. He is done. Was a complete liability all season long

He's not even the MVP of his team. Henry is. I don't care if he wins. If rather Detroit or Buffalo wins but if he can earn a title good for him. Beating a bad Steelers team that hasn't won in over a month isn't doing anything.

The Steelers problem is the draft and player evaluation. In the 70’s they were the premier franchise for evaluating and drafting players. Now they might not even be considered in the top half of the league.

He's still strong and hard to move, and he has the occasional burst, but he does not move effectively any more. I like him as a depth piece to rotate in, but asking him to do more doesn't work.

He had 8 sacks while being a dominant run stopper. 8 sacks. And he was an All Pro with Chris Jones at 35. What is happening.

He used to be so dominant but he has taken a few steps back. At his age things tend to go downhill fast. Not having anyone next to him inside isn't helping, and he can't cover for it anymore.

Even though Ignored Member is likely running his mouth, it will be hilarious when Lamar skips into the Hall of Fame. I may even make the trip to Canton and try to get on ESPN with a banner that says “Bo Knows Football. Lando Doesn’t Know Jack $hit.

He was deemed one of the top two interior linemen in the NFL. That doesn't make it true but he's obviously a productive starter and probably top 20 at this position at 35. A lot of the all pros are just "we want to make a statement" votes but he had a great year
He may not be the same guy he was at 28 or 30 but he's still one of the best in the game

I don’t think he should’ve been first team all pro but I think he’s better than you’re giving him credit for. He’s still disruptive, rushing the passer and solid against the run, the big problem is that he no longer has a quality nose tackle next to him that takes up two blockers. Casey Hampton was so big and strong that it took two people to block him every play, and that left guys like Aaron Smith able to go one on one from the end position and make place.

The problem with the Steelers is the ownership. I truly think the number one goal for Art2 is to have at least .500 seasons to keep butts in seats and season ticket sales strong, and for that Tomlin is the perfect coach. He's here until he decides to leave.

Correct. We're missing the massive NT that required 2 blockers at all time. Hampton was undervalued by the fans.

The insane Roomeys and their clinging to their equally insane "Rule" which they can shove up their ass along with Tomlin.
