One good game does not a season make....

The defense does look better today. But is the reason the sorry Atlanta OL?? At least it looks like they are being more aggressive. Blitzing, and playing more man to man.

Long way to go. Can they beat even an average team?

It is nice to see their first round pick, Edmunds, contributing.

I was at the game- as bad as Atlanta's record is- they do score a lot of points. And had been losing close games to good teams. James Conner looked really good. Its a step in the right direction.

Ben is still making a dumb pass a game, this time at the end of the half in the Red Zone, and Boswell missed another Xtra point.

If not for a weak call on a Ben Rothlesberger sack and an admittedly bad call (NFL agreed it was the wrong call) on a sack against the raiders the Browns would be 4-1 and leading the AFC central.

Conner looked good, The Defense looked good. Ben was avg. at best. missed a lot of open WR's and made a horrifically dumb decsion
at the end of the first half.

Unfortunately, they play one of the toughest, if not the toughest, remaining schedule in the league. Unless they have an epiphany, it's going to be tough for them to get 9 wins.

My guess is that they're going to have to win in Baltimore, and hold serve against the Bengals at the very least, to have a chance for the playoffs.

The Bengals will choke and someone else will win the division. Not saying its the Steelers but the Bengals will F it up.

Bengals look like the best team in the division right now with the Browns rising. I would not get too excited about the Steelers.

Although they're 4-1, the Bengals have not been great. They beat Atlanta on a last second td, and were losing at home to Miami 17-0 at one point.

This division has been garbage this year. In fact, other than KC, has any AFC team, including New England, really played great?

Steelers have the Pats and who else so scared on their schedule left?

Denver? They aren't very good, got waxed by Jets yesterday.
Jacksonville isn't the same team as last year.
Oakland Blows
San Diego isn't very good
New Orleans will be a challenge
Carolina comes here.

Steelers typically have problems with San Diego aka LA, even in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers are not a good football team. They may make the playoffs, but are not Super Bowl worthy. They are a franchise in decline.

I heard this after every bad year tomlin had and they been to 2 under him and outside Belichik he is the winningest coach during his time.

Ben is aging and you can see it in his play. He's not as elusive as he once was, and when he does start to make a play, his throws are frequently off the mark. The Steelers should have traded him a few years ago, or even to the Redskins this past year, to get some draft picks and start building for their next run. It is never happening again with this group. I do not think that they will ever be a contender for a first-round bye again with Ben, and it just gets worse from there.

Ben's passes appear to be sailing this year. Not Peyton Manning with the Broncos sailing, but definitely noticeable. That being said, with how bad the AFC as a whole is, they have a shot for a deep playoff run if they decide to stick with running the ball and the defense gels.

Steelers haven't had a losing record since 2003, which is a remarkable achievement, and a testimony to their leadership.

Hard to stay on top if you're not getting some early 1st round draft choices occasionally. They still look like a playoff team to me, though not championship material.

I’m not even worried about the defense. The NFL is a score league. No real D is great. The rams gave up 31 last week and 31 this week vs a pretty inept offense.

Philly gave up over 300 yards passing to Mariotta who passed for like a combine 400 yards in his other 3 games.

Washington has given up 28 in the first half tonight.

Denver and Carolina have given up a ton of points the last few weeks.

For a 6'5" QB, he gets MORE passes batted down at the line of scrimmage than any QB I've ever seen.

He also makes the same damn mistakes over and over again just like a damn rookie QB.
