Late to the game on this one, but one of the stupidest things I've ever read on here, and the competition is stiff. Thanks for that......

Take away the KC game and I believe their D is ranked 8th in total Defense and 3rd in scoring. Their D isn't playing bad, not sure why everyone gets so worked up over this? Watch the NFL, its a non defense league now. The Rams are 8-1 and give up a ton of points weekly. KC has given up 30+ on three occasions. New England gave up 96 in a 3 game stretch.
Um...there are a lot of future NFL players on the Alabama squad, but ALL of the players on the Steelers and Ravens are NFL players.
Remember when the Steelers played the college allstars in the Rain Bowl. It was 21 zip when the games was called . It was no contest
I think there was only 1 pro team that lost to the college all-stars. Was it the Packers??

Let's be real Generous and call it 20 kids on Bama would play on Sunday.
Guess what the worst NFL has 54 players. Lets assume that 1/2 those aren't good (which is ridiculous) - but that is still 7 more thane me being generous. Bama doesn't have a full starting team of NFL players.
Lets now look at other factors (not that we have to)
Every NFL player has a full time job - playing football. that means everything they do is geared towards getting better at football. Alabama has only 20 hours per week - strike 2
Now look at physicalness. Would you bet on 18-20 year olds playing against 26-30? Especially when for 5-10 years - the 26-30 have been working out and are in the unbelievably good shape - Strike 3.
Lets look at 1 more - somebody brought up coaching. Nick Saban might be the best college coach ever - but he didn't do great in the NFL when he had an NFL roster. Why is he so much better - because he gets better players. It's that simple. 99 % of the time time his team is more talented. In the games with equal talent - his record is normal. He wouldn't have more talent or even close talent
We can certainly disagree, as gentlemen, often do.
I will add that Alabama will not win the National Championship this season. Who will win it? I don't know, but I am certain it will not be the Tide. How do I know this? I am prescient.

Uh, no they wouldn't and it would not even be close. Alabama would not be able to beat the worst NFL team, much less competitive teams like Pittsburgh and Baltimore. How many of Alabama's best star players over the past 5-7 years have been mediocre at best in the NFL - a lot than those who have become stars or consistent above average starters.
