Nobody is saying he isn't good but he clearly isn't in the same p4p ranking area as Lee, Kemerer or Warner were. All three were #1 at their weight class and top 10 overall.
I really hope you are not correct.......I currently enjoy watching them. I don't want to just tune in for overtime with the score 1-1. The thing I like about many of the incoming recruits across the nation is that there are more and more who want to score points and be exciting to watch. We are blessed to have so many on the PSU squad......lets hope that attitude keeps spreading as the interest in college wrestling increases.
You may be correct about Cassioppi. I really didn't know much about him before the spring and summer. I realize that I am basing this on just a handful of matches I have seen.....but he seems to me to be much improved this summer/year than last. There was a time he was rated a good bit behind Costello. That is currently pretty laughable. Of course he isn't going to challenge Stevenson but being the 4th best of the heavyweights out there is pretty darn good. This is a great group of heavyweights
Being 4th best 2018 HWT may or may not be enough for the podium. Offhand 2017 has Singletary, Hillger, and Vough; 2019 has Schultz and Kerkvliet. (Plus guys I'm forgetting and who emerges.)
Cassioppi is a very good prospect. So are the rest. HWT could actually be an exciting weight class.

I always ask kids in Iowa named that if it is pronounced that way, or "Gah-bell," or "Gabble." You should see the looks, especially when they know I'm a wrestling fan.
