Suriano re-enrolls at Rutgers

Poor Iowa: With Sebastian Rivera stating his intention to go 141, Rutgers very well could have the most powerful one-two lightweight punch in college next season.

RBY and Nick Lee says Rutgers won’t even have the most powerful 133-141 punch next year. Belee dat.

Rutgers Fight Club always has the most powerful punch.

This guy can’t even count to two. WTF?
I guess that's relative to whether one believes 141 is a part of the lightweight club. I believe it does. I can see how one would debate my opinion however.

Is eirmen still a sure thing?

Soooo Flo is saying they know Cael is pulling everyone available into redshirt.

Alvarez from 133 to 149? Or I guess he redshirts. Thanks for the best season of anyone last year (6th in B1Gs). Now take a seat.

Since when is Nick Lee beating Eierman easily in folkstyle?
Turk, you're a smart guy. There were 4 take downs in that match by Lee that would have scored points in folkstyle. Eiereman scored 4 on a chest wrap that would have scored zero in folkstyle. That isn't a bad body of evidence.

...edit...I do give you the qualifier "easily" is not proven by that match.

So freestyle results are your only determining factor? What about the folkstyle match they wrestled?

Nick Lee has improved a bit since that folkstyle match. Granted, I won't say he would win "easily"

Match probably will not happen. NL RS this season is my bet

Eirmann is a tough out. He will be a top 141lber if he wrestles. He is a top five guy. I doubt anyone beats him easily.

RBY vs DeSanto will be close as well. Over the last two years outside of the match in Carver nobody has kicked DeSanto’s ass. The kid is a top notch wrestler. Both of those would be close and could go either way.

I think RBY and Desanto would be a good match but I think RBY now has a distinct advantage. First, since DeSanto tapped out, I think RBY is in Desanto's head. RBY has been coached up to counter Desanto's style and that is key to DeSanto's level of confidence or lack thereof.

To flip that, RBY is on a trajectory that only SpaceX can match but SpaceX can't match RBY's speed. RBY knows he is improving everyday. Pick - Desanto's mindset vs RBY's. I know where my money is.

Yeah--I am honestly wondering if RBY might wind up being one of NLWC's more accomplished wrestlers when it's all said and done. His elite-of-elite athleticism is being honed with ever more and better technique. He's building brute strength. I could see him rattling off 2 NC's in a row--especially if he shirts this year.

Didn’t one of our wrestling alum (DT?) say something about RBY to the effect of, “He is like a superhero just finding out he has super powers!”

I'm guessing Vito and Yianni might have something to say in this discussion.

Just listened to Bader's interview with Eierman and it certainly sounded like he will be wrestling for the Hawks. Just graduated from Mizzou and will be enrolling at Iowa this fall.

He said that he is probably going 141, but would wrestle wherever the coaches think that he would be the most successful.
