Never bet against Bo, that guy can get it done from everywhere. Don't skip the all star event, it's bad for the sport and the seeding was accurate.
The seeding was essentially a coin flip. Hall should have gotten the benefit of the doubt since he was the returning NCAA champion. Zahid beat BoJo twice and Amine once, Hall beat Amine twice and BoJo once. Amine was better than BoJo.Never bet against Bo, that guy can get it done from everywhere. Don't skip the all star event, it's bad for the sport and the seeding was accurate.

Don't skip the event?
How many Hawks entered the event last year?
Which nobody from Ohio State, Iowa, or Virginia Tech entered. It's an ALL-STAR meet.

Sorry, I just got the joke. Busy morning, lol.Maybe my joke went over your head. The joke is that it's a meet for ALL-STARS and you asked which Iowa guys attended last year.

Downey would've done that this year alone except for stupid ineligibility.Wait....if ZV moves up and beats Bo, should he move up again to claim 3 championships in three different weight classes?
what part is stupid?Downey would've done that this year alone except for stupid ineligibility.
OK, in which case: the first word of that sentence.Of course, I was looking for more of it!
Doesn’t sound like he willGotta think Ryan redshirts MyMar, along with Pletcher and McKenna for 2020 team title reasons. Move would help MyMar avoid Bo, though not Zahid.
Interesting. I guess enough new guys coming in and the guys holding redshirts don't want to prolong their college tenure?Doesn’t sound like he will
Your guess is as good as mineInteresting. I guess enough new guys coming in and the guys holding redshirts don't want to prolong their college tenure?
Quentin was seeded 9th his sophomore year. Cael said before the tournament started, Quentin Wright seeded 9th, a lot of people at 184 got a really bad draw.Seedings and tough draws are for PSU fans to worry about. Both the coaches and wrestlers have made it clear that they focus on their own game plan, take things one match at a time, and expect to win it all. For them, there is no such things as a bad draw ...

And seeded 8th at BIGs where a lot of people at 184 also got a tough draw.
Truly an awesome moment...though changing of the guards happened the day the guards changed.Q’s pin against Gambrill was the changing of the guard!
On FRL, yesterday, they were talking how Mark weighs more than Valencia. I believe it was Willy and Bratke (?) sounding very confident in that statement.

That's cool, but I disagree. My eyes work just fine and he looks like the biggest 174 pounder I've ever seen. I just saw the national championship picture of all the champions together on the mat that they always take: I'll try to find it for you and post it. On one knee of course is Lee, Gross, Yianni, Zain, and Jason in that order, then on the second row they did it backward this time and had Cenzo behind Jason, and then Zahid and then Bo, and the size difference between Zahid and Cenzo is almost comical, as Zahid is every bit as big as Bo, maybe an inch shorter though. Zahid looks bigger than Macchiavello also, and is about 4 inches taller as well.

this is what I think of when someone says changing of the guardTruly an awesome moment...though changing of the guards happened the day the guards changed.
Last summer at the Junior World Team Trials Hall wrestled 163 and Zahid 185. I won't mention what I think of what Flo says.
I am "anyone with two functional eyes", as are others here. To me (just me), it's immaterial how they look. For Mark and Zahid, both had 1-hour weigh-ins for 5 months, weighing (I'm guessing) within a pound of each other, while mowing down the field, and going undefeated all the way through to the NCAA Finals. Zahid probably weighed more at Finals time, but managed his weight through an entire season of duals and mid-season tournaments.Exactly. Look, for anyone with two functional eyes, I ask you to google the 2018 champions pic that is the standard pic they always take.
Now, unless you are blind, you can plainly see that Zahid Valencia looks bigger than everyone in the back row not named Kyle Snyder.
Roar, don't the current rules to weight certification pretty much eliminate the dropping of too much weight?I am "anyone with two functional eyes", as are others here. I'm curious what the point is. I'll trust a scale before I trust my eyes, and both guys wrestled a full schedule under the same NCAA rules.
Carry on...
I think the point now is will Valencia go to 184 or not.I am "anyone with two functional eyes", as are others here. To me (just me), it's immaterial how they look. apparently you have never heard the old saying "looks can be deceiving"?Exactly. Look, for anyone with two functional eyes, I ask you to google the 2018 champions pic that is the standard pic they always take.

how tough is NCAAs....3 of the champs in that pic lost their last match as a D1 wrestler and 1 has yet to ever be #1 again.another example-Ringer and Martin both look bigger than Gabe Dean, and Nico looks pretty close to Nashon. Eye tests don't always work-big differences in bone structure and density, muscle structure and distribution, etc.

and Captain America had a loss in his final season but our guy...Mr ZPain won 94 straight!
