That is a surprise, as I believe it was Goblin, that guaranteed he was a flip and lock for the Hawkeyes (as was Nolf and Zain at one point).

since all these guys are flipping to PSU from the hawks, its easier to just not call any recruits rather than deal with the pain of losing them......

Dunk, you gonna give a PBP of the presser for those of us who were unable to watch, or at least your impressions and highlights?

CS on Lee (paraphrasing) - 'Maybe a bit too aggressive, he just needs to stay lower when pursuing a wrestler.'

I think we see a different result the next time he wrestles Carr, or another wrestler who makes you come to him.

Shak on Shak (paraphrasing) - 'I payed too much attention to the bonus machine talk. I just need to have fun and wrestle.'

I think Shak put a lot of pressure on himself to meet other people's expectations.

They also asked Shak about cutting his hair. He said coaches told him to cut it so he said yes. Then re-thought his position since he has been growing it for a while. So now he needs to wear a hat and probably will cut it soon, but on his timetable.

Does the 3 inch binder say wait for them to commit and then flip them?

That might explain not contacting Brooks (and maybe McHenry too?).

Maybe that pre-dated the binder ... cruiseliner got backed up with Dziewa.

or nolf was at the practice and late like two weeks. except last time they found him in the hallway and jumped like a politician.

Can one buy a Slurpee with the slush fund? If so, I bet Nolf just ran (literally) to 7-11 for a deliciously painful brain freeze. Mostly coke flavor with a bit of red cherry and blue raspberry on top would be my guess.

Nick Nevills said he's down to 255 lbs, from 275 at the Scuffle. He credited the loss to simply working harder in the room as opposed diet or to than anything @LemonPie said.

That's just his ego talking! Cael mentioned there was an effort to get it down. Regardless, I think it's a great weight for him. Looked good at Big Tens.

Yes. Walking straight into head held high does not work very well when chasing a retreater in sprint mode.

He's right. Some in that group have high character, and some are real characters. Either way there is character in that group.

By the time we hit the Ohio border tomorrow there may be clowns to the left of me and clowns to the right of me...we may even have a Court Jester by then!

been watching and forgot to check if there was a thread here for you guys

Good stuff dunkej01.

Can see these guys succeeding at many things in life, with their solid foundations, great attitudes and sharp focus on their goals.

Just a comment about Mark Hall, after watching his video. He is so level-headed and well-spoken in front of the press. Can see Mark in leadership roles, including being a great coach and mentor for youth, if that's the route he chooses.

Zain pic in CNN list of top 25 sports photos from around the world.

Penn State's Zain Retherford holds Iowa's Brandon Sorensen during the Big Ten Wrestling Championships on Sunday, March 4. Retherford won his third straight conference title in the 149-pound weight class, and he'll soon be aiming for his third straight national title.

Yeah, I've heard Mark say coaching is a goal of his. He's had some tremendous mentors in that area, already.
