By that I mean some bigger program may snatch him up.
After his team's bowl game.

Chestercoppernit, you are pretty well tied in there?

Edited Bigget to bigger. My Sp. Pardon my spelling errors from a cell phone. Hope some respect my honestly in that regard .

He passed on Missouri which was smart - he is in about the best spot he ever will be to make the jump into the big leagues.

What jobs are still or likely to be open? I'm not sure Houston is a step up, Oregon would be.

He is losing a sr qb this year. He has two back to back strong seasons at Temple. That is really impressive. Definitely a good time for him to move up to a Big 5 conference.

Rhule will get interest and I'd assume he's open to exploring good opportunities. Depending on how the coaching dominoes fall, Rhule could be in the running for a WVU, OK St or other job at that level this year.

I don't see him jumping from Temple (no matter how great he's been) to an Oregon or Notre Dame in one step, unless Temple had a top-ten type of season on the national stage.

PJ Fleck appears to be under consideration for some top jobs. Western Michigan is considered a better job than Temple?

Rhule is going to be considered for many jobs and a jump from Temple to ND is possible.

I don't believe that Matt would accept an offer from bigget program.
Worst thing for Matt is he works his balls off making Temple a really solid program, but the Temple community doesn't respond by buying tickets. Their games at the Linc draw about 15-20,000.
Temple is just a lousy fan base. They rarely fill their basketball arena, though they always see themselves a roundball school.
Matt should run if the right program presents itself.

EPC, I agree with you 100%. Maybe Indiana will ooffer him. My comment was about the posters computer glitch.
Thought it was funny.

Not WVU...Holgs just signed an extension.

Quite true about attendance. Actually, it is why the administration has been looking into a much smaller on site campus facility. Problem is they are getting community resistance. I think, they were looking at a 25-30,000 seat capacity (not sure if that would meet their conference requirements).

Funny how we flip BB with FB when thinking about Temple (primarily a BB school) as PSU is a football school trying to be relevant in BB.

I really hope Rhule stays at Temple. Maybe they give him another big raise as they did last year?

Difference in the flipping is football drives the car. Basketball is a passenger.

True IF you use such to finance other sports. Temple does a pretty good job with a much smaller pot. Maybe one day they hope to have a car :)

Temple for the most part is a commuter school. A large portion of the student fan base go right home after class .

Philly is a pro sports town. The Eagles come first. But when it comes to college football, there are probably more PSU fans in Philly then there are Temple fans

No. it's not.

ND could take a chance after having a long string of failures of big name coaches. They could take Matt and offer a lower salary, so they can continue paying off whatever ex-coaches they have on their payroll still (or plan to add in the case of Kelly).

yeah, I think it's a certainty that because the team he coaches won, he's going to die.

how hard did you think when you composed that Subject line? On second thought, don't answer that.

They averaged over 27,000 per game. I live in Philly. Temple has become
A thing. People wear Temple gear for the first time.
I would assume ND or Purdue. Rutgers would be smart to make a switch. The Big Ten Teams make so much Tv money, they can afford
To pay 3-4 million a year. Purdue gives him a five year
3 mil a year... Now that's real money.
He deserves a move up.

If there was one thing not thought out more than my subject line was your post. Why did you post if you don't want an answer ?
No one else here seems to have been critical of the subject line.
It has not been the first time some have felt he would be gone as soon as he showed something .
Sorry to be personal Tom.

He will need to jump at some point (now is about as good as any). Temple simply doesn't have any more upside. Like Peppers at Michigan, Matt needs to recognize when his value is at a maximum. I just hope Matt doesn't jump to a power 5 team that we play or compete with for recruits because I do think he can be an elite coach given the right opportunity.

Not sure that Ruhle would leave Temple for a Bigot program. But he could end up being offered a HC'ing job at a P5 program, or even ND, as someone above suggested....

I posted this earlier.
What is a double major poster?

This thread shows up to me as being started by the OP RTLH. Unless you are also RTLH (double handles/accounts). So I wasn't making fun of your spelling, but was just kidding RTLH.... I realized what he was saying, just kidding. No big deal, I hope.
