On Sunday, was at the range practicing with my current carry weapon and also with the store rental P365. Very nice gun. Went through two boxes, 100 rds and had a blast with the thing. The sights are light years better than my Ruger 380 which is maybe not saying much but still very very visible and easy to just pick up, line up and fire quickly. Everything I have read about the comfortable handle maybe a bit overstated and only very mild knock on it if you could call it that. My grouping at fifteen feet with the .380, urgent draw and fast but not gangbusters fast rate of fire was maybe nine inches and with the P365 it was three to three and a half inches. Pretty much all shots either kill or stopping accuracy with both weapons, imo.
The waiting list at the range/shop is beyond end of the year, holy shit? $545 for pricing. In the meantime a business contact told me about the Springfield Armory XD subcompact that he carries and suggested I try out. I am picking up his this week from him, will test it and get back with that information . Do you have any familiarity with that particular gun?
