Thank you, good Lord! No surgery required for Jason. Not as horrible as it looked. Already

So what exactly makes you think those select few are wrong? Did I miss a PSU match today or something??

Btw, speculating that his season may be over is a far cry from putting him to pasture to rot. It looked bad but no matter how bad it turns out to be we fully WANT and expect to see him back here next year if not sooner....not rot away. Poor choice of words..
You are looking way to far into my comment. Quit twisting words. Relax..

Glad to see Nolf has a chance to come back. Could make for a great story considering how it first unfolded on social media.

Don’t give me that shit...you know exactly what you were doing. You gave us the ol’ “shame on you” for Christ’s sake, as if you are our mother...

Your post was to start trouble and make it as if we are a poor fan base or something. Believe me, I know a thing or two about doing that on other boards. So you tell me, who exactly put Nolf out to pasture to rot?

My fear is that he would just default like Suriano did. In which case he may not get a birth to the NCAAs. I am thinking people will not be so trusting as they were in the Suriano case.

Deep breath. If Jason forfeits 2x at B10s, he'll be 18-3. There is zero chance the NCAA would deny the defending national champ with that record an at large.
To add...He would easily be Bronze Standard, and with his credentials (body of work), he would easily, far-and-away, be the first at-large wrestler taken at 157. Not one ounce of doubt, based on criteria. Numbers don't lie. Here's hoping for the best as he recovers...

Take a step back. Some people here did do that. Need proof? Go to the very first post of the Next Man Up thread, which was about 90 min after the dual ended. I'm sure you can find plenty of other examples.

Turk's not the bad guy here, and there's no need to assign his motivation.

I’m glad Nolf does not have a serious injury he is a one of my favorite collegiate wrestlers. I hope he can get back on the mat by the BIG’s it would not be the same without him.
I think some of the posters here should be ashamed writing him off so quickly and blaming the injury on the other wrestler.

if the line for being ashamed is overreaction on an anonymous message board then there is hope for this world yet.

I fear though it would end anonymous message boards and what f** would that be.

Yup... and I cited the OP because he did exactly as Turk said. Turk knows exactly what he’s doing. Comments were made and even a thread started over on HR that we put Nolf “out to pasture to rot”. He’s playing off of that here. And he wants to lump us all in together over one post? I’ll go ahead and allow him to do that for you if he will list who these select few are that put Nolf out to pasture.

Why do you care what's on HR?

Some were writing the teams chances off as well.....

Huh? Did I reply to him on HR? Did I reply to what he said on HR? No, he made the comment here and I replied to him here. So not sure your line of questioning makes any sense.
Without the context of what was said on HR, your assertion about Turk makes absolutely no sense at all.

I didn't have that context because I didn't go onto HR. Jason got good news and what's said over there is noise.

Jefe, I read Turk's post as being happy Nolf was going to be back despite some naysayers here and on HR. I may reading comprehension classes.

I took it the way you did.

Then again, Project Literacy has been demanding that I refund their scholarship.

Turk needs to be FLOs new #1 p4p troll.

He trolls a board and they don’t even realize they are being trolled.

So who is PSU’s 157 for the remaining dual meet schedule? Who trots out to face Micah Jordan come this Saturday night?

False- Jason would have to enter B1Gs and start at least one match..... in order to be eligible to get a wild card for Nationals
sorry if addressed before but are you familiar with history, just sayin!

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with people saying Nolf and PSU are done in the heat of the moment. I thought the same thing, just for once kept my mouth shut. Who cares? Like Roar always says, glass half empty vs half full. If it hurts anyone, it hurts the person who is negative the most.

Anyone like me that has been a Philly fan for 50 years is either really positive....or really negative. I've been disappointed so many times I automatically nay say. Kind of a self protection thing. I admittedly gave up on the Eagles after Wentz (and the other half dozen guys) went down. I happily admit I was wrong.....so far.

Does that make me a bad person? Oh well if so. :D I've got a lot more important things to worry about than that. I'm happy they are in the SB, but am still not betting on a win. :) Negativity is built in. Can't help it. I just try to keep it to myself so I don't bother anyone else....don't get me started on the Flyers...

Hah....and you are actually wrong too. Wild Cards were eliminated several years ago in favor of the At Large system of Standards.

True, but teasing as well.

In any event, Jason has to take the whistle and end the match somehow. Either by an immediate default or actually wrestling.

If default or lose before an automatic qualifying placement, having done that he will receive the first at large bid. There will be nobody with criteria ranked higher that didn’t qualify at their conference tournament

Wow. Talk about blown out of proportion. You read me the wrong way. Not sure i can convince you otherwise though.

-Spencer wears a bionic knee brace that turns him into Anthony Robles on top.
-Glynn wears a knee wrap
-Turk sports a six shooter
-Soring Eagle has been known to wear a knee wrap/pad
-Southpaw Kemerer with a wrap/potentially beefy brace coming soon
-Marinelli mans a mean balding Brace
-Young ... cross
-Bowman... your
-Wilke.... Fingers!
-Stollhouse - double wrap that cookie!

I will say it again.. I Hate injuries. I wish them on no athelete. I posted on HR yesterday that i wasn't going to jump to conclusions about Nolf's injury until the Monday morning MRI came out. Well... He has a fighting chance to continue this year. Good for him! Seriously

The B10 wrestling season is a grind. Not many come out unscathed. Hope all these guys stay healthy enough to put on a show for us come March.

@andegre -- Heads up, on Wrestlestat, either by error or some joker made Gardner the starter over Zain at 149.

I know nothing about knees or knee rehab, but after a google search, if it's tore, a return before March doesn't seem possible. I guess we will see. He will need to watch video of how the Hawks wrestle with all that extra gear on.

Edit... but I guess if he doesn't need surgery, it must not be tore.

My wife is the lead physical therapist in her group. When I told her that it was a posterior cruciate ligament injury that did not need surgery, she laughed at the thought that someone would be competing in this type of sport after only six weeks of rehab.

She is always quick to note that she can't make a prognosis without personally examining them.

We do not know what the injury is, there are rumors of a PCL injury but that is it. Also rumors of an injury to the kneecap. I do know a couple of things in Nolf's favor compared to the typical person, highly motivated, extremely tough and access to the very advanced rehab techniques, equipment and staff with the time to dedicate to it. Nolf will not be going to physical therapy for an hour a few days a week like the rest of us. He will be doing Devin Carter.

A few years ago Devin Carter at Virginia Tech came back from a completely torn hamstring in a few months, incredible, but when you end up dedicating hours a day to rehab with all the resources you need, you can recover faster than most people.

One thought when comparing this situation to Suriano last year and Cael's comments about each. Yes, in both cases he is saying optimistic things about the post season and last year that didn't come through. Whether Cael knew then that Nick wouldn't wrestle none of us know. BUT... in this case Cael has another option that he didn't have last year. It was too late in the season and there was no viable option at 125 anyway. This year, if Cael really knew or suspected that Nolf probably would not get back, he has Berge or others who could score points in duals, BIGs, and NCAAs most likely. But he isn't pulling that lever... which to means that he is at least convinced it is more than a pipedream that Nolf will be back. I think there must be a pretty solid chance.

Gentleman, my super power is overreacting and I didn't even overreact to this injury. If I didn't overreact there is no reason for anybody to have done so.

Just ask my girlfriend, my friends, my enemies, or anyone that has ever met me.

I did not get that from the Turk's post. Maybe we are projecting our own thoughts and motives into his post, but it seemed totally legit to me.

Does she know how tough the average wrestler is? Oh yeah, how about a few pics? Askin' for a friend.
