Listening to that asshat Stephen A. this morning on Sandusky having an office in the football building and being able to "recruit" victims! If that POS Erickson doesn't ok this, maybe it doesn't happen. Of course, Stephen A. refuses to acknowledge that JVP voted NO to an office in the Lasch building for JS...

This has been said a dozen times, but the emeritus status granted to Sandusky by Spanier (and although signed off on by Erickson as provost, the president has ultimate authority to grant emeritus status at his sole discretion) had nothing to do with Sandusky’s office in the East Area Locker Room. Sandusky’s office was granted by Curley and Schultz in Sandusky’s retirement package, which was a separate agreement that didn’t involve Erickson.

It doesn’t change the fact that Smith is incorrect, but the OP doesn’t accurately represent the situation, either.

IIRC, Sandusky's "office" was in the East Area Locker Bldg. The media goofs would like people to believe it was across the hall from the head football coach. Different building?? Nah, not salacious enough.
That's correct, it was in the EALR. One Daily Collegian writer described it as more of a closet than an office, back in a Dec. 2000 article.

Your first mistake was not immediately changing the channel when Stephen A. came on. He is an uneducated and insufferable buffoon whose only job is to stir up shit. He will never have a good word to say about PSU.

But JVP did say NO! And the most POWERFUL man in the state as that asshat Smith called him was overruled...

I couldn't...I was in a gym and his drivel was blaring out of 4 different flat screens where I was working out...

Take his name off the Creamery, he is a constant stain to a great place

All of the focus on Emmert and Delany tends to make us forget that the real enemies are so much closer to home

The OGBOT will never be held to account in any meaningful way, nor will Louis Freeh

Agree wrt to Delany. Don't think he led the Big Ten's procession to burn PSU at the stake. Emmert is another matter entirely.

JS did NOT have an office in the football building. It was a separate building.

When did JVP say no to the office? I wasn't aware of that.

On the typed "Retirement Requests" of Sandusky, JS's 1st item was "An office and telephone". The copy of that with Joe's note's that I have shows "OK" next to it. Was there any more on this subject, and did Joe ever weigh in on the location of the office? On that I don't know, but it seems Joe did not object to an office itself. On item #5, "Access to training and workout facilities" the handwritten notes query as to whether this was for "personal use or 2nd mile kids". Further stating "No to 2nd mile. Liability problem."

Thanks...I stand corrected. I will go grab a beer from the fridge to show my dismay....

Yeah really can't stand that clown. Tries to sound like such an authority on every topic. Unbelievable hubris.

Erickson was just a pawn in the OGBOT's game.
Someone please get his name off the Creamery building. Every time I walk out and see it I just want smear my Death by Chocolate cone all over it. Then I come to my senses.

Sorry Fayette I didn't mean to steal your response. I just saw your post after posting.

Every time I see a photo of Masser I can't help but think that he spends his free time masquerading as an enema.
Masquerading? The resemblance is unmistakable. I hate that bag with a passion. He brags about how the Masser family has run the Hegins Valley for 8 generations. You think none of his ancestors ever stuck their fingers in little Dutch boys?
