So obviously by now everyone saw the tweet from David Jones of PennLive saying ND is courting Shrewsberry and that is true, but this is not the end all be all. We are also hearing that Penn State is prepping a big package / extension of sorts to keep Shrewsberry around, will it be enough to keep him away from Notre Dame? That's still TBD, but what we do know is that one major factor here for Shrews is that he wants a significant NIL pool for hoops, hearing somewhere around the ($750k-$1mill range). Right now we are unsure of what will happen here just yet, but my gut says PSU is going to do a lot to keep him around.
On top of all this, Notre Dame is also rumored to be courting another name in Creighton's Greg McDermott as there have been some troubles over there with the Athletic Department, sounds like they might have a new AD soon and he would likely prefer to hire his own head coach. This also would point more towards ND not being that confident in Shrewsberry leaving PSU.
