The ONLY Good Thing About This New Format: The McAndrew Avatar!

my avatar is a pic of Bailey, the basset hound I had to put down on Valentine's Day at the age of 14 1/2. She was truly my valentine and will be forever.

I was impressed with your avatar (and that's no lie). I remember your grief when you had to put down Bailey, and felt your avatar was a nice tribute and also conveyed your emotions.

A second good thing about the new format: It allows us to discuss Penn State. Try it.

I always did imagine Tom with a powdered wig.

It is great to finally see what Tom looks like.
I also like the ease to which one can upload and update an avatar without having to either find one that was small enough to comply with the requirement.
ALSO, I just discovered today that you can hover your cursor over the Subject line to read some of the post. It would be great if MORE of the post could be visible in this way. Your post ILLINOIS LION stops after "....59 hours".

Agree, I discovered that yesterday and really liked it. Now I have a better guage if I want to open the topic (no I'm not calling it a thread LOL) or not.

I personally think he should have opted for this one.

Really? You'd want me to use a painting made by Haddon Sundblom in 1956/57 of his assistant, Harold W. McCauley, dressed as a Quaker man would have in the 1600s? Dream on. I don't care for imitations, especially when it comes to history.

Besides, Quaker Oats is owned by Pepsi. I'm happy that PSU gets a lot of money from Pepsi, but while I drink Diet Coke like I own stock in the company, I greatly dislike the taste of Pepsi/Diet Pepsi.
