Is a real thing.

Usually, numbers of wrestlers who have wrestled at least one D1 wrestler in a weight class is pretty consistent from 141-157, and slightly lower for 165. Well, here are the numbers for this year:

141 pounds: 279
149 pounds: 258
157 pounds: 281
165 pounds: 284

184 is at 230, which is in-line with usual numbers (was 222 at the comparable date last year).

As of the comparable date last year: 203, 233, 302, 308, 301, 271, 230, 222, 206, 201
As of today, this year : 207, 231, 279, 258, 281, 282, 268, 230, 201, 208

That said, my numbers last year included matches against teammates, whereas they do not this year, which may be the reason for the slight downward trend in the numbers for this season.

I wouldn't think that most guys would fare any better at 157 or 165.

149-165 is pretty tough for anyone not named Zain, Jason, or Isaiah.

So I don't see much point in bumping up to dodge Zain. Was there an increase at 141?
